so they could not force you to factory reset? after repair all intact :)?

For data protection requirements SOP, when phone is to be opened up, storage must be wiped before it is passed to contracted service technician.

That is what I have been told.

Nope, its not glued together. But to replace the internals, the battery needs to be pried out so mostly will bend a bit, hence the replacement

Also need to replace gasket seal upon asembling back the bezel. But glue wont be as good as original, causing a decrease or lose of ipx rating.

I don't think it is so complicated.

They took off back plate, pull out all the PCB boards, ports, camera and any loose components. Then the entire front frame (and screen) is replaced. The replacement front frame already have battery glued on. That's why the battery as well as the bezel/metal rim also got replaced because all these come together with the front frame replacement part.

update on screen on time
without power saving about 3-4 hour SOT
with power saving about 6 - 6.5 hours SOT

app usage is almost the same, play same game, watch some youtube, browse some site

this makes me wonder should switch on power saving most of the time for the almost double SOT

Actually you are considered a heavy user already if through the time you have time to play game (also must specify which game you playing), watch you try be and browsing.

Most working class will only able to do those you mentioned during lunch time and after work and if after work battery life is not an issue.

Though I agree with you even for a heavy user 3-4 SOT is abit short

Hi,

Facebook
YouTube
Browser based video playing
DuoYin

Is what I use daily.

I think I'm probably getting around 7-8 hours of On screen time?

I havent got the chance to run down it to zero yet.

But usually at 60% I have about 3 hours of sot.
At 30% I would have about 5.5-6 hours or SOT.

It's not as good as my Huawei mate 20x for sure, but then that's 60hz. I'm running on 96hz. If it's 60hz I think 9-10 hours of sot is do-able.

Overall I'm quite happy with the battery life, at least I don't have to carry a brick around eg s21 ultra.

Makes me wonder Is there any point to getting a Snapdragon version now?

exynos version will feel hot and warm while using?

i'm still using huawei mate 10 pro, looking to replace it

hai if only new huawei phone still can use google service............
