I am dued to recontact in two months times paying $39 pm .
Should i switch or stay with Singtel
Usage requirements , One desktop with landline , and 3 phone using WiFi.
Currently linking
1. ZTE ZXA10 F620G
2. TP link home mesh WiFi system deco M9 plus
3.TP link AX dual band WiFi 6 router

Thank you.

1) The recommendation will depend on the details of your current setup and your preference.

2) You are using SingTel ONT.

Your existing wireless mesh solution (Deco M9 Plus) can only support 1Gbps. Do you use wireless backhaul or Ethernet backhaul between the two Deco nodes?

What is the model of the TP-Link AX dual band router? Do you use it as the main router after SingTel ONT?

How do you connect them?

3) When you change to other SingTel plans, you will need to change to use SingTel ONR. Are you using any special FW features of your main router?

4) Do you prefer to stay with SingTel even if you need to pay S$10 more per month? Or even S$20 more per month?

Basically M1 S$34.90 per month 6Gbps new user offer (with free Archer BE805) is of much better value than any SingTel recontract offer. Starhub S$29.55 per month 5Gbps offer (with free HB710) is also of much better value than any SingTel recontract offer. Both are using ONT.

All three gadget connected by ethernet cable .
TP Link Model Archer AX20 ver:3.0 and connected as the only Router after Singtel ONT by ethernet cable.
Is $29 5Gbps promotion still available? Keen on this plan.

Thanks

Yes Starhub 5Gbps offer at S$29.55 offer is still available now. The rumor is saying it will end this weekend and change to 3Gbps offer (whcih is still very good if that is true).

Please go to Starhub 5Gbps discussions below.

you will not get the $29.90 5Gbps plan from Singtel unless you are one of the "chosen" ones.

I tried applying many times for it and always get rejected. Called in to 1688 and whatsapp also cannot get the plan. singtel offered me a $58.70 5Gbps plan with 2 WIFI 7 routers for recontract which is even more expensive than what is being offered to new customers on their website ($55.70). simply ridiculous way of targeting customers and doesn't seem to value existing customers.

My contract will be up in early June so I'll try to get the $29.90 plan again and if it doesn't happen within 1 month of contract end date, i'll just send in termination request and prepare move to another ISP.

They just keep throwing these stupid bundles at targeted user groups which is likely based on their address housing types and don't allow the targeted users to choose a basic plan without all these additional equipment which just jacks up the monthly cost.

Eactly what i faced when i re-contracted, and what i wrote in an earlier post. They sure show lots of love to their long time loyal customers.

This is a 5Gbps plan.
So do take note, this router has no 10 Gbps LAN ports, only 2.5 Gbps.

If you are not keen on not getting the full 5Gbps performance on wired, then i guess it's okay.

Gotta love SingTel for bundling such routers with their plans.

two years ago when I was trying to recontract I also faced same problem when they just refused to give me the plan at a lower price. When I threatened to cancel the CSO also didn't care.

Don't understand what is so difficult for them to just sell a no-frills plan to customers who don't need the bundled "freebies".

This is kinda strange because I managed to recontract for the $29.90 5Gbps plan via the link @xiaofan provided here.

Singtel even added in a free Singtel TV bundle for me (didn't hear anyone else getting it).

Only downside for me is I got the average wireless router, which didn't matter much to me anyway since I don't need blazing fast wifi speeds.

were you still under contract at point of renewal? if yes, how long more till end of contract end?

at this point, i'm less than 2 months till end of contract. last application done at 2 months mark was also rejected

Just take note the bundled router is not Deco BE65 but Singtel HB611-SGST. Deco BE65 is better as it is using Deco Mesh technology. Singtel HB611-SGST is a TP-Link Service Provider Model and supports TP-Link EasyMesh mesh technology. Usually TP-Link service provider model has less FW features than consumer models and often slow in bug fixes.

Haha for me, I'm only looking for cheap plans. The speed and equipment doesn't matter much to me.

The Singtel 5Gbps is <$29.90 for me. There's also free Singtel TV bundled.
