Go for Sorento la.. 7 seater SUV/MPV must go for power to move. Try having 7 passengers and accelerating. The Sorento will outgun all your options with 440nm of torque at less than 2000 rpm while still being fuel efficient. I can't imagine a 7 seater with a 1.3L engine pulling without stress on it.
i tried the older version not too bad but the downside is the road tax is higher than 2l petrol plus no high end power for diesel. the interior is nice too but feel that KIA priced it too expensive liao. should go down to take a look at the newer model.

smaller brother of 5oo8. Host also say nice-looking car.

Citroen and peugeot we hardly see any of these made that is more than 3 yrs old on our road... does that mean after warranty need to dump these cars cos of the reliability issues?

Yea I do think it looks good, it's just not a huge wow if you've looked at x5/glb/gle/x7/q7 interior before. But good for price point. The wood trim looks real nice I wonder if distributor would bring that in?

I'm personally not a fan of the exterior design though

I am driving one. I still wow. So yes.

Road tax sure cost more.. $2.1k for 2.2 diesel vs $1.3k for 2.0 petrol, that is $800 difference per year or $66 per month. Pump 1 time diesel already make up for this $66 due to the cost of diesel and the added efficiency of the diesel engine which gets more km per liter of fuel.

Too many people concentrate on making up for the added cost of road tax of diesel that they forget about the cost of diesel, the power (very high torque to pull the vehicle when loaded) and the added fuel efficiency while doing that.

A good alternative would be a hybrid vehicle as they provide good torque from the electric motors but i cant think of a 7 seater suv that is a hybrid for TS.

Pump diesel must pump at Smart or Cnergy, not the main petrol cartels :s27:

Timing belt change at C&C almost $3000. Don't change timing belt and it breaks, prepare $30,000 for engine replacement.

Go to second floor at C&C alexandra road, carpark is for those cars awaiting collection after service or repairs, you will be surprise by the number of Citroen waiting there which is not proportionate to its population.

hmmmm. I also noticed not much peugeots on the road. is it really due to poor reliability?

More of the electronics. They have since gave 5 years warranty on electronics too...( 2019 news)
Again, still very poor take up rate in SG market..

Electronics are the thing that drives most outside mechanics mad as diagnosing it and repairing it requires proprietary scanners and tools to fix the problem. Most outside mechanic will change the whole part/assembly which drives up the cost even more. Parts availability is another problem, it’s not unheard of to wait for months as AD like to consolidate their shipment because of the low population of such cars in Singapore unlike bread and butter brands.

There are specialist workshops outside that focus on these cars but they are not exactly cheap. They price themselves just below AD but no low enough for you to make that decision comfortably.

Lastly, just look at the resale values of these car on the second hand market. Talk to your car dealer friends if you have any for their comments. Trade in value is as good as insult to injury, even worst if no full service record with AD..get ready to get shaft.

Not true, occasionally see some 308s on the road

The new 508 is also great, but obviously the laymen would prefer the three German brands over other Conti marques
