soundproofing better to do in sg. if kena those unknown subpar materials, will be quite cumbersome if it melts and need to remove.

Hi! Anyone did soundproofing in JB before? Any shop to recommend?

Thanks!
I would trust 1 and only 1 shop in JB, that is Famous Audio aka Ricky’s shop ... he is Ah Foon’s ”shifu” after all. But my understanding is, it’s not gonna be cheap if that was what you were looking for ... let Ricky do might as well let Ah Foon do here sua.

In computer-speak, doing that is like buying an i7 K-series processor and running it with onboard graphics :o

Okay maybe not ... this Z9150 is at best an i5 K-series processor =:p

Still, same logic applies ... it’s a waste of time. And money.

If the reason why you intend to run without amp is because you are on limited budget now but plan to upgrade in the near future, I suggest you stay stock until in the near future then upgrade 1 shot. If you have no intention to upgrade further, just look for the lowest-end player that has the functions you are looking for, no need to waste money on this Z9150.

Hi all

Any comments on integrated dsp and amps? Like the fact it is compact (2 in 1).. but afraid 1 hardware down.. have to change everything

Looking at the mosconi dsp with 6 channel amp

It would boil down to your budget, space available, and your audio standard.

Integrated is more value for money and has lesser footprint (lesser space, lesser cabling required) in the car. Most Integrated Amps with DSPs are largely Class D Amps (which some do not like).

A view of having it separated is that there is more control of the amps in terms of selection and additional configuration.

Given the case.. I think I will stay 2 ways and upgrade my speakers. Thinking of Micro P 7 series and use back my dsp and amps which are 2 separate items .

Hope the speakers can help enhance the sound , thou it is 2 ways

There is absolutely nothing wrong with running 7-series 2-way ... 7-series has no midrange in the 1st place what.

I meant if given my current set up.. only can go 2 ways.. since the space constraint. And yes.. I heard is either Z or 5series for mid

Can I check what is better option.. 3 ways on micro p 5 series or 2 way on micro p 7 series

I will be honest, I haven’t actually spent enough time auditioning proper 5-Series setups to really give them fair judgement ...

... but if you’re sure you want to ask me ( ;) ), if I have to buy 5-Series to go 3-way, I rather don’t buy Micro P :o

Actually the line of questioning I should go with is ... why did you think of Micro P in the 1st place? Did you audition them (and the different series) to decide you like them better than some other brand(s)? What type of music do you listen to? I always recommend to look at getting speakers with characteristics that match the listener’s music preference(s) and expectations.

I managed to listen to focal, dls, sinofni

Focal was my second choice

I listen more of a jazz.. pop . Instrument music.. micro p seems to be more define after hearing it

Thanks for this thread. Can anyone recommend a decent andriod head unit? So many options in lazada and qoo10 see until i also blur and price range so wide.

My sound system is stock, not using any aftermarket amp. Need a replacement as current headunit seems like dying (screen sometimes auto go off).

I will need
- 2 DIN
- bluetooth (for hands free)
- support reverse cam video input
- i have a a roof mounted screen (pref the headunit can also output to this screen too)
- mirrorcast/link
- radio fm
- my steering has some buttons, so good if headunit can be adjusted (volume, on/off)
