Anybody using Singtel Mesh?

Think the Singtel neighborhood store dun have space to keep new router for existing customer & told us our old router is the same, a bit sad that Singtel care less for loyalty customers, no offense to the Singtel guy here, still need the AirTies firmware, haha.

Router is usually self collect at 313 outlet leh..

Fg7009 is so long time ago model.. Should be able to change already..

Haha, my bad, thanks so much for the info, maybe is better if we din renew but cancel it then sign up again, haha, they will help us set-up everything since renew & sign up paying same price, I so bad.

That's strange.

I just recontract at Cee. The singtel lady told me to ask the 313 people whether my current router is old model.
I did that when I went to collect my Samsung home connect, they gave me a new router too.

Seem Cee more considerate. Any idea 313 there need old router back or not if they give new router? Cause my sister-in-law work at home, network can't be down.

Din know got disconnection fees one, thought if contract expired or change telco no extra charge. U guys gave me a lot of info, thanks so much :)

I've just re-contract my 1gbps to 2gbps. I was wondering if there's anyway that i could still use my netgear r7000 router and also upgrade the free airties to Eero?

The situation is i would like to connect multiple stuff to my router because i've got a couple of IOT (philips hue, apple tv, iMac) but there's only 2 port left on the singtel huawei router after connecting the airties and singtel tv.

Also i would prefer to have some form of control on my router like have a different DNS, QOS etc...

What would your recommendation be? Is there anyway that i could use my own router? Or should i just use a switch instead?

Fyi just some background info. I was previously on singtel unlimited fibre which allows me to connect my own 3rd party netgear r7000 to the ONT.

From the ONT there's another port which i connect the singtel aztech DSL 7000 for the singtel tv.

However after the recontract to 2gbps the ONT and Aztech was deem useless as they are being replaced by the singtel huawei ONR.

Sh*t, Singtel dun let us change our 2 years old FG7009GR and want us to use for another 2 years. Router is not rental TV set-top box, we expect new model when recontract fibre. Other telco offer lower price & even free new router. Sad to know Singtel work it this way, very disappointed & sorry to said this.

Any one can advise how can i change the password of the new wifi mesh device?
I was told to go to web site askeyapXXXX - what is XXXX?

Hi yjgappzpw,

Askey WiFi Mesh is not a router, so port forwarding is not possible. You have to access the router's admin page and configure.

Hi Dix,

You can change the password of the WiFi Mesh via the Askey Wi-Fi app.

Search for "Askey WiFi Mesh" on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store and download on your device.

aztech 7009 is better than the Singtel Wifi Gigabit Router AC1900! (Arcadyan).

To access the website UI, just go to your routers configuration page.
1) 192.168.1.254
2) Find your Askey Mesh "askeyapXXXX"
3) Below it there should be an IP, from there, just copy and paste it in another tab
4) ID:admin PW:admin

The problem is I have problem scanning the QR code when I use the Askey WIFI Mesh app.

If I were to use only one of the Wifi Mesh units, ie the one connected to the router. Will the mesh wifi connection be better and more stable than the normal wifi connection?
