What you mean is no improvement over the normal wifi right?

If you feel your WiFi is not performing up to standard, It best to figure out why it is so i.e interference, range to far, too many obsticals etc..

Blindly trying a solution in hope of improving WiFi may not be effective if you don't know why it is bad in the first place

Hi all, need some help. Is it possible to connect both Askey router to my Singtel router? I setup using the Askey app but it doesn’t have that option. My house is wired so I prefer to put the 2nd node far from first. If I connect 2nd node connect to 1st, I need to put them very near which compromise on the speed. I tried using this setup and my speed drop from 300+ with 1st node, to 50 with 2nd.

Also can I ask how to disable WiFi function on my Singtel router?

Thanks.

Hi,
What is the current firmware version, my AirTies is currently

Firmware Version: 1.33.10.1.1368

But only my laptop keep dropping wifi connection while the rest of the devices were ok. Also observed that sometime the 5G signal flashing red & green.

Any idea if this is hw issue on the AirTies ?

Thanks

My Askey AP5100W wireless router is not able to get an Internet connection. I have verified that the Singtel Internet is working, and I can see the Askey SSID but the phone says that the SSID doesn't have an Internet connection.

Can any kind soul send me the Askey instruction manual so that I can try to reconfigure it? I can't find the manual online zzz

Hi BlueChocolate,

The latest firmware for WiFi Mesh Airties is 1.33.6.3.150.

Can you kindly send us a private message with your account details (e.g. subscriber's NRIC/Singnet) so that the team can update the firmware remotely?

Hi Singtel Customer Service.

I've got my fibre broadband 2Gbps installed this morning. My router and AirTies is in the living room and the other is at a room about 6metres away. the 5GHz has the red signal. When i move the second AirTies to the room about 2metres away i get a green on the 5GHz. I was thinking og buying from Singtel on another set of AirTies and place them in each room so in order to get a green 5GHz signal til the 6metres distance room.

Called 1688, took me ages to intentionally pressed a wrong option to speak to a human to transfer me to the broadband dept.

So i went +Serv at Orchard Central and they told me my AirTies installed was supposed to be 4930 but was installed 4920. They cant sell me any AirTies 4920 as my contract is for AirTies 4930. And if im not wrong they shoed me the Askey model instead which i cant buy as it wont pair obviously with Airties 4930.

Called 1688 again, took me ages to intentionally press wrong option to speak to a human CS. They said will find me another appointment to change my AirTies.

So i called the tech that installed my broadband this morning, he reckon Singtel does not have AirTies 4930 (True?), and the performance will not be much diff from 4920 (True?).

So now I'm waiting for my new Appointment for Airties 4930 to be replaced. Or will they give me Askey models of mesh?

Pretty confused what option shld i opt for .... buy my own Airties 4920 or wait for Singtel's AirTies 4930 or for the Askey .....

Thanks for swift reply :)

alamak, $5 more per month for 24 months = $120 > AirTies 4920
will sit on the fence for a little while more ...
wait for experts to review, and advise if worth this extra outlay

singtel came to change my 4920 to 4930. same range performance but faster speed i would presume. i had told them multiple times to bring extra but just brought only a pair again.

Does +Surf / +Serve at orchard central got 4930 for rent now? or do they still have only 4920? to make another appointment would mean having to wait for them another time!!!
