Hi Singtel, was this issue ever resolved with the Askey AP5100W?
I am having the same exact problem. I have 3 mesh nodes. 1 wired to the Singtel router, the other 2 wireless. The first day of installation, the meshes paired and everything was working fine in the day. All lights were green on all 3 mesh units. At night 1 of the wireless nodes just unpaired itself and the 5ghz red LED started flashing. I tried pairing it again but it doesn't work no matter how many times I tried. I confirm that Singtel internet is working and the SSID is still being broadcast from the wifi mesh but the phone says the SSID doesn't have an internet connection. My Dad called up Singtel Customer Service and the CSO just brought him one big round and told him to visit AMK Hub Singtel Shop where we got the meshes. He went down and after discussion with the salesperson and the manager, the manager told him that he would process a refund and requested that he bring back the 3 units of Askey AP5100W as the Askey AP5100W is not recommended for multi-storey homes. This was not made known to us when we got the units and we specifically informed the salesperson that we are living in a 2-storey house and require 3 nodes.
It seems like your staff at AMK Hub is just trying to choose the easy way out to refund the units without even trying to solve our problem. If the Askey AP5100W is not suitable then would the other mesh systems that Singtel carry be suitable? Or are they all not recommended for multi-storey homes? FYI, we have not refunded the units yet.
Hi bro, I know how Askey can be very stubborn when pairing. but i tried this method and it worked for me within few seconds.
Connect the main unit and the 1st node using lan cable to the ONR or RG (each with its own lan cable) Then press pairing button on both. This should sync them pretty quick.
After the green lights are stabilized, check with your phone under wifi settings to see that the SSID has been merged and you dont see the 1st node's name. You can test out the connection by plugging the first node some where far in your house and wait for your phone to connect it.
you may repeat the above step for your 2nd node. As for SSID broadcast but no internet, Go into askey admin page. ensure that DHCP is disabled or under diff ip address. Also forget the network in your phone and retry again.
all else fail, simply just use a pin and reset all 3 Askey Nodes, it will bring you back to Singtel Default SSID and PW located and the base of the unit.
