I need a alternative broker with fixed rate fees rather den charge per share or a % of tranaaction

IB and tiger is charge per share/transaction. The fees are alot if you have a huge position

For penny stocks, i am using Stanchart. But provided u are priority status.

Bear in mind, fx rate is lousy for all banks and the mobile app cmi

Still not got the money back.... like someone previously mentioned. Account set up take months, withdrawal take years...

Even calling their hotline, I wait 120mins on hold till I give up. Seem like money is stucked inside Liao.

hi good news.
1) My TD account is finally done after 3 months and i am operational. to those who cant wait, next best is to sign on to IB . a few days wait. Believe me these 2 are the best. forget about the rest especially from local brokerage and banks. all ripped off. hidden cost and tax and gst will bankrupt you before the trading start.
2) Regarding the withdrawal from IB, it was smooth sailing. 2 to 3 days after i withdraw 40k from ib, it appears in my dbs multiplier account. amazing fast and FOC. of cos DBS charge about USD 7 for the incoming fund.
Thats it. Profits from my trading are now building my account instead of going to local brokerage and banks. Just for those newbie. the number of trades i do a month if done in philip Poems will cost me $10k. in IB i pay about $1k. In TD i pay $zero. Work out if it is worth applying and waiting.

I saw this on their FAQ

There is no minimum amount to open an account. We recommend people start with at least USD$3,500. If you do fund with at least USD$3,500, we will rebate your wire fee up to USD$100. You need USD$25,000 to actively day trade, USD$5,000 to sell options naked, and USD$2,000 to have margin capability in your account. At a minimum, you need at least USD$500 to receive live real time data.

Kind of confused. So with TD able to buy and sell small amounts if top up only USD1000?

Also is there anyway to change my number of shares to 1 instead of default of 100

As long as you do not open and close trade positions within the same trading day, you don’t really have to worry about the $25k Pattern Trader rule.

You can check the user settings menu to change the default setting of 100 shares.

I have net liquidation value above 25k, but when I trade, the day trade from 3 become 2.

In the tos program, you can set the default quantity of shares to buy/sell. Just go play around with the program a bit. I have mine at 10.

If the number became 2, it just means that you opened and closed a trade within 1 trading day.

However you don’t have to worry about the counter.

You can just continue to buy and sell, as and when you like .

The counter won’t make any difference to you.

It is meant to help those who cannot meet the $25k minimum requirement keep track of their trading . Those are the people who have to worry about the counter running down to zero.

Based on my experience as a regular Pattern Day Trader, after the counter runs down and becomes 0, your account name will have a “ PDT” indicator attached to it.

As long as you meet the $25 k requirements , your account will not be locked or restricted in any way.

Really problematic, complain to MAS and get them suspended.
hahaha. get TD and IB suspended. better outlaw zero commission and make us go back to paying poems and vicker $140 per trade. FYI i just did a few trade last year and commision is atill $140 per trade. its not just the brokerage...there is plus plus..gst etc. somehow add up to ober $100 per trade.

Finally got my TDA account opened

They really function like a coffeehouse brokerage. Deposit by post also take 2-3 days

exactly why i didn't like cos i don't like the idea that i saw a price i want but cannot buy cos no fund. and i dont like to fund the account early.

hopefully brokers should move more towards almost instant or hours like what TB is doing currently.

Post? Not bank transfer via dbs?
Btw dbs usd/sgd rates are high.
U may wanna use fsmone or ibkr to change rates first before u deposit to tos.
