Anyone use TD Ameritrade?

Just an update on my bank transfer. I transfered to their aforementioned DBS account on Friday 10am. Received the funds on following tuesday. So a total of 2.5 business days be it SG or USA timing.

can i ask if TD singapore does an automatic conversion of SGD to USD?

I transferred in SGD 1000 but it's showing as USD 750~.

Is there some setting where i can select the base currency to show?

simple. withdraw from oversea brokerage like TD banks in US is FOC. But when sgp DBS charges about 7 dollars for incoming funds to your mutiplier usd account.

Scanned copy of NRIC
Scanned copy of proof of address/bill
Scanned copy of bank statement
Scanned copy of Client Account Review

Couple of observations and questions.

1. I have an IBKR account for about 3 years. Just apply to open a TD account on and all paper work uploaded by mid Jan. Pending opening until it is today. I called TD during SG hours for 3 hours no one picked up. Called at midnight answered within 30 mins and it was opened about 2 - 3 days later. Just kindly ask them to expedite to email their SG counterparts and act interested to trade ASAP and want to change platform LOL. They did confirm no way to change to cash only account

2. Outgoing wire for TD is 25 USD but for IBKR is FOC for first TX of the month. Sure the trade commission is free for TD and IBKR is min $10 a month. Trade off here and there.

3. Incoming wire transfer for TD via USD Wire or POSB FAST takes a few days but for IBKR is usually within the same day. Anyone knows how the POSB FAST rates for SGD to USD for TD is like? I am wondering should I do the IBKR forex trade to USD before sending to TD but will add to the delay for the forex transaction and since there is fluctuation everyday I am wondering if it is even worth the time.

Experienced that. Had to logout or close browser and re-login to restart where it was left off. Had to repeat several times, especially at the attach document section.

And now have to wait and wait for the approval.

Not sure as i dont use FSMone.
I change sgd to usd at IBKR.

Multicurrency account in dbs means u use dbs bad rates lol.

So what I will do. Put sgd from posb savings to ibkr sgd account. Sell sgd to buy usd. Wait 3 days settle, initiate transfer wait another 5 days or so to get into wire usd into dbs mca. Use mca usd account to transfer to tda wait another 3 days. Maybe for the money to get into tda can get 1.5 to 2 weeks. Whatever preferential rates for your stocks also no more hahaha. Say wanna buy gme can increase to 350 or drop to 50 or worse suspend trades lol
