Need to declare as accredited or trained finance financial professionals...?

How about uneducated O level??

I opened my account with tda like in 2005 while still in fax days, so cannot comment on sg requirements. I did not have to declare AI or pro. If you are not pro, don't declare pro.

You need margin, so at most tda ask you to go sgx do their derivative course and show tda your pass result.

Post? Not bank transfer via dbs?
Btw dbs usd/sgd rates are high.
U may wanna use fsmone or ibkr to change rates first before u deposit to tos.

Posted from PCWX using my phone

can change in fsmone and send to TD directly? no need to add acocunt number in the comment? what about send from multicurrency account in DBS?

Guys, at the end of the submission there are 4 documents to upload and one of them being bank statement. Does it make a difference in providing the bank acct with least balance or the one with most balance? Or does it has to tally with the liquid net worth declared? :s22:

Also, earlier someone met with a problem with their submission surrounding the first, middle name and last name issue. Take for example if my IC and bank acct name are both "Jason Tan Ah Kaw". But the way TD reflected it is "Jason Ah Kaw Tan". So how did you resolve this in the end?

Guys. Does thinkorswim singapore only allow us to open margin accounts? There seems to be no option for opening cash accounts

Yes only margin account. If you dw to incur the interest just use within your cash and sweep.

If we spend within the cash amount that we injected into the account, then it essentially becomes a cash account? Practically speaking

For penny stocks, i am using Stanchart. But provided u are priority status.

Bear in mind, fx rate is lousy for all banks and the mobile app cmi

what the rate for pirority status vs non pirority status and any reason why only use it for penny stock?

I need a alternative broker with fixed rate fees rather den charge per share or a % of tranaaction

IB and tiger is charge per share/transaction. The fees are alot if you have a huge position

If u buy and hold share in 100k especially in penny stock ib and tiger comm will be quite significant. Would recommend opening a tda. A 100k shares round trip would save u $1k worth of comm in ibkr $2k for tiger. For tda forex there is a way to bypass the lousy sg bank rate just troublesome a bit.

Do you mean if inc if USD from TD also costs $7?

hi good news.
1) My TD account is finally done after 3 months and i am operational. to those who cant wait, next best is to sign on to IB . a few days wait. Believe me these 2 are the best. forget about the rest especially from local brokerage and banks. all ripped off. hidden cost and tax and gst will bankrupt you before the trading start.
2) Regarding the withdrawal from IB, it was smooth sailing. 2 to 3 days after i withdraw 40k from ib, it appears in my dbs multiplier account. amazing fast and FOC. of cos DBS charge about USD 7 for the incoming fund.
Thats it. Profits from my trading are now building my account instead of going to local brokerage and banks. Just for those newbie. the number of trades i do a month if done in philip Poems will cost me $10k. in IB i pay about $1k. In TD i pay $zero. Work out if it is worth applying and waiting.

Wanna check, from TD FAQ, it says to transfer $$ after acct is approved.

However, i was emailing an employee and after some paperwork submission, she mentioned my acct is now approved and open. I then went to do a transfer the next day. 5 days later from my email correspondence with employee, TD sent me an auto email indicating that my acct is approved and opened.

So, will my $$ be lost somewhere? I indicated my 9 digit 220 account number in comments section.

When they asked for my cpf and address docs, they replied the next day to ym surprise. But previously when i asked for updates, they nvr reply for months although i put off opening TD acct for some time as well.

I think they replied fast only when i called in to inquire abt my acct. Then the follow up is fast.

Anyone knows abt the $$ transfer before official TD email but after TD employee email? Any issues?
