Anyone used this card overseas before?

Does the 5% rebate (if the category is right) offset the bank fees, mastercard fees, forex spread, etc?

I know bank fee is 1.5% + MC 1% fee, so is the forex spread greater than 2.5%?

yeap. spending overseas according to your chosen 5% rebate, you will get back about 2% to 2.5%

Planning to make about 3-4k purchase at luxury stores like cartier, bvlgari, Tiffany and Co. If I apply now and select the sshopping category, will I qualify for the 5% rebates? Also, will the rebates be credited into the first month statement to offset the purchase or next month?

Thanks guys! Pardon me as I can't seem to find the exact t&co on such purchase

but the 2-2.5% does not take into account forex spread right? Mastercard not gonna give you spot rate right?

Iirc its depends on the forex rate on the day they post it. But Tbh, it doesn't differ much lolx

After you have made the 5% rebate category selection by 25th of the month, do you check if your selection has been captured in their system successfully? I received an acknowledgement after making the selection in their website but the details are very basic with no date/time and name. What if ANZ say never receive it?

Hi everyone

Has anyone charged their Airbnb expenses to this card? Is the 5% rebate under travel or dining and leisure? The cso told me its leisure but this is an online travel portal. Thanks.

Im registered under dining and leisure rebate - my airbnb incurred 1% rebate only.

Interestingly, my AirBNB invoice in SGD did not incur cross border fees. Good way to avoid paying foreign currency fees by not paying airbnb in USD :s22:

hmm, then i better not risk, go for amex TCB better.

Yeap. Or go with other ** cards. Usually for luxury brands I will try to buy it inside taka so that i can use the DBS taka card

I applied in late Oct, got it in early Dec. Qualified for the reward within 15 days but was told that I will see the 100 bucks rewards only in Statement dated 1st Apr. Not so happy with overall sloooooow service so far, but very happy with the hotel/dinning rewards. Makes average 2-3 biz trips a month (fully reimbursed), and the card give me back roughly 100 optimum dollars back monthly. Only card (tell me if I am wrong) that lets you get cashback on hotel charges.

If your chosen 5% is travel then agoda expedia zuji hotels.com all counted.

Direct booking through main hotel website... I rarely do that, so I don't know
