personally, if I buy, it would be retirement self stay property for me, when kids grown up, and I don’t need to care about where the schools are or whatnot. Main consideration is lifestyle, convenience and vibes. But now CHP timing not right for me so bobian. I will scout for my retirement self stay property cautiously lol.

U guys think most pple buy CHP is more for self stay or investment or just trophy collection.
if I buy, my only intent is to hoot the lowest quantum/lowest psf and haolian to others and hopefully impress some AMDL. This is definitely not a project I would want to raise a family or looking at schools for kids, Trying to be honest here.
What’s your own motivation to buy CHP btw? Just curious.

If I buy it would be for self stay plus for trophy collection, not for investment. The motivation is the serenity of that area and the route from its doorstep can lead to u right to MBS in less than 2km.. must get a unit with MBS view.

I’m not sure how this location is linked to serenity when it’s so near to Clark quay, hotels, shopping mall below

well, I wouldn’t consider raising a family here because kids education and cost of living is pricier here compared to your usual neighbourhood estate amenities. It’s just me. Not representing everyone here.

Indeed. I did a search on social media and saw post of agents buying…

A lot of agents (Property, insurance etc) like to portray a successful image of themselves. The culture from what I know tend to favour going for trophy asset/items eg Luxury condo, sports car etc.

Imagine if u r an Insurance Agent / financial advisor. U bring your client to your Canninghill Pier high floor 1b house with MBS view.

Many will be impressed & more willing to listen to u for financial planning & more likely to buy an insurance product for u.

Given that at least 600k will be “trapped” for 3 years, the projected profit (~150k-180k) in 3 years’ time doesnt make financial sense. I may be wrong, prefer to err on the safe side.

No doubt, CHP is a trophy that can be used to haolian.
