1. UOB One is good but rebates are linked to your monthly spend so please have a look to see how much you can objectively spend per month
2. First use you can use the referral code for $20 off from the 2.6% fee
3. You will have to check on the CardUp webpage to see whether the school accepts.
4. Referral code sent

Hi I'm new to the forum. Hope to learn. Would be grateful for any help with the best way to use card up.

1. I gather from reading the thread UOB One is good. Right? I will sign up for that.
2. I think CNY promo ended. Should I wait around for a new one before starting use?
3. E.g. My LO goes for ballet at a school that only accepts CASH or cheque only. (not even bank transfer). Does that mean it is highly unlikely that I can use cardup?
4. Can someone PM me the referral code? Thank you.

Hi, would like to seek advice regarding insurance payments. If I have a policy with an annual premium of $2.5K, would it be possible for me to use CardUp to make payments of $500/mth for 5 consecutive mths? Would the insurance company accept such an accumulative payment arrangement?

so far, I can say GE, AIA, Prudential all ok with partial payments

most annoying is Prudential, always ask my agent to verify that I made payment, then my agent have to contact me.

They’re okay with partial payments meaning I can pay the annual premium in split payments within the year, even though I’m not on the semi-annual/quarterly/monthly payment schemes, right?

Just do it. At most they return the advance payment made in cheque.

Simple. Use UOBone card

pay in 2 tranches. First month 2k. 2 month 500 before your premium due date

Alternatively, use BOC family card and pay in 4 tranches

$600 * 4 get 5%. Four months before your premium is due

UOB one card need carefully plan, if pay in above suggested way, it may end up getting less than 3.33% for that first $2k spending.
When using uob 1 , need to check whether u have other spending to support u to meet the same tier in your quarter.
We are talking about annual $2.5k premium not a monthly.
If only this one big spending and no confident to meet the high tier in uob for 3 month, BOC card is a more comfortable option.

Yes, I do not have other big spendings to fulfil UOB One’s min spend. I currently hold the BOC Family and was wondering if payments of $500/mth for 5 consecutive mths will be accepted by the insurance company if I opt for the annual premium scheme.

Think they don't bother...Aviva (for my case)

Uobone I do agree need to play carefully...only hit it if you have a qtr worth of 2k to spend on
