2. The Nature of "Hawker SGQR" (NETS QR) vs. Standard SGQR
The SGQR labels at hawker centers are uniquely integrated through the NETS network (often referred to as Hawker SGQR).

• To make it easy for hawkers, NETS acts as a master consolidator so the stallholder doesn't have to deal with multiple payment providers individually.
• While foreign wallets like the UnionPay app are technically integrated into the backend of the NETS QR system, merchant-level acceptance is selective.
• With the subsidies gone, many hawkers are restricting their NETS QR to accept only local mobile banking apps (like DBS PayLah!, OCBC Digital, or UOB TMRW) which route via direct, low-cost local bank transfers rather than routing through the UnionPay international card network.

Thanks. I contacted DCS live chat agent who said they are aware of the issue that is affecting a number of people, and have been escalated to the tech team who is working on it. I was told to try again in 3 to 5 working days.

No. DCS Supp Card is useless I already feedback. Even Supp Card install the dcs app also cannot login. So no way for both main and supp to know transaction. I cancel via email.

Recently anyone tried to use the scan feature of DCS App to pay for hawker food?

Somehow last 2 weeks when i try, can scan but transaction always fail.

Is DCS removed from SGQR, or something wrong with my app? Hesitant to uninstall and go through hassle to install again.

i used the DCS UnionPay card to pay for hawker food but via the UnionPay app instead of the DCS app, alos got issues, tx failed. Removed the card and try to add back and now can't even add back. Zzzz...

Anyone has similar experience? Maybe with more feedback I can call DCS CSO to check (though i heard there are unresponsive). I guess thats life on a general spending card.

I just downloaded the UnionPay app and am unable to add this card to the app. I get the error "This service is currently not available to this bank card ..."

Update (20 July 2026): DCS Cards App when making QR payment charged to DCS Ultimate UnionPay still having issues, but the error changed over the past week from:

1. "Transaction Failed", to
2. "Transaction Failed. Try another payment QR.", to
3. "Pay" button stuck in loading loop.

UnionPay app unable to add DCS Ultimate UnionPay card, but able to add BOC Zaobao UnionPay (Credit/Debit). However, when paying QR Payment, transaction fails.

• I suspect UnionPay QR might have become unsupported since both UnionPay App and DCS Cards App have issues, and both DCS and BOC UnionPay cards.

the 8 retail transactions are strictly those tap at card terminal like tap at the NTUC or MCD POS system terminal hor? Order Grabfood then pay wif this card not considered hor?

Very new so everyone test water lor. If no count at most cancel card if they don't waive. My interpretation of retail this English word is very broad take bus mrt also retail so is as your Grabfood.

Definition shouldn’t be different from dcs flex which requires 5 transactions per month. Online is counted
