Hows the quality of the tc2 now?

So far got some quirks as I hang my towel at the door, and it tends to brush against the switch. No issue previously with the old mechanical switch. Moved my towel away.

I'll have to monitor again for the next 1-2 weeks to see if any quirks pop up again.

I'm currently using a Broadlink TC2, does not need neutral wire. I was under the impression that the control for this would just be "toggle", i.e. that the hub and Alexa would not know the state as to whether the switch is on or off.

I did some extensive testing just now. I told Alexa to turn the switch on, manually switched off the light, and told Alexa to turn the switch off. Nothing happened. Told Alexa to turn the switch on and the light turned on.

The TC2 may not be able to display the "state" of the switch, but there are two separate "commands" for turning "on" and "off" at least.

Not too sure how knowing the "state" of the switch will improve my home automation experience compared to what I've set up now.

State is useful only if you ask alexa whether something is on or off. Or if you set up automation rules with hubs..

Super ripoff. USD$99 and it doesn't even have the AI functionality like Ambi Climate.

Need to introduce their customers to the Broadlink RM-Pro

I'm currently using a Broadlink TC2 2-gang switch. It controls one straight fluorescent tube lighting fixture, and one circular fluorescent tube lighting fixture.

No issues with the straight fixture, but with the circular fixture, I find that 10% of the time when I try to turn it on, it flickers but does not turn on.

Is this an issue with the switch, or is the starter/bulb/ballast getting old? The starter/bulb/ballast are super super old.

Anyone ihc not working with Google home in the last 24 hours?

Ihc by itself still ok, but Google home can't control.

State is useful only if you ask alexa whether something is on or off. Or if you set up automation rules with hubs..

I think state is more useful when you are not at home. You know which device is turn on.

I just brought the RM PRo+ and trying to pair it with all my Yoogee but it seems that I am unable to find them in the Light Switch list so I than use the User-Defined and get them to learn my Yoogee switches but it doesnt seems to work. Any advise and help? Thanks!

I assume u r using iHC? Use eControl to pair the switches if your switches are 1-way switches. The RF switches are just RF receivers and you can't learn the RF signal from the switches. You will need to learn signals from a physical remote that generates the RF codes.

Nope. Im using eControl. And managed to get 2 of my Yoogee switch to pair with RM Pro.

I actually click on the Add remote - RF Socket - The On/Off button - Then click the Sweap frequent and connect the switch by just tapping non stop on my switch and then it was able to find and added it in. And I needed to go it twice for it to work with the On/Off button.

But what i was trying to also figure out was that the RF socket i couldn't actually rename the Socket 1, Socket 2 Socket 3 to what i wanted for me to remember which button are for which switches

Ah seems that Broadlink has removed the option of Yoogee from the 3rd party lamp switch template... I reckon it may have grouped them under "Others" since Yoogee acts as a standard PT2262 switch. The bad news for you is that I have also tried all the options under the template, including Broadlink but they returned errors when selecting. Likely Broadlink has stopped backend support for eControl entirely.

My guess the last option for you is to get a RF remote which one of the bros had recommended from Carousell or the USB RF remote I have shared in my earlier posts. Then pair these with the switches and get iHC to learn from the remote.

I think you can't rename the buttons in eControl.. It is presented as a switch/remote. So I just map the buttons accordingly to what I see on my physical switch.

I suspect you might be having a pair of 2-way switches.. That's why u can learn for 2 of them and not the rest. RM pro is a RF replicator... It can't generate codes on its own.

Interesting... Looks like the video is a new addition.. But I don't seem to see the Yoogee option in my English version of iHC. This video is actually showing the similar way on how my Yoogees were previously paired using eControl. Did u have any luck following the video?

Yeap... But @Blackswan555 may have to invest in a HA setup to generate these codes to RM Pro

If you manage to get RM pro to learn the signal by switching on/off, this goes to show the switch somehow is acting like a transmitter... To get around the problem, you can easily create 1 lamp per gang of your switch on the iHC or eControl... Forget about pairing then.
