Yes, confirm its RF.. both my ceiling fans are Franco with RF fan.. I setup the living room one, only the master bedroom one... prolly it falls in the max range part..

How big is your house? If your WiFi router is in the living room and you can receive a decent signal, there is no reason for the 433 or even 315RF to fail since it has a longer range. Take note... The same remote for your living room Fanco should not work for the bedroom one... They are likely to be having different codes... If your physical remote can't even control the bedroom fan right outside the room, you must have gotten something fundamentally wrong.

1) How many air conditioners have you set up with IHC? I ask because you mentioned in 3) rooms, so I’m assuming there’s multiple air conditioners, which leads me to think your Google Home may be conflicted. One suggestion- change the name of your air conditioner in the masterbate room to Pikachu or Snorlax, some unique name, and test. It should work.

2) No you don’t, Google Assistant app on your mobile devices would suffice.

3) Assuming your air conditioner remotes are IR, refer to 1)

4) It’s normal, the local devices here refers to Google Home Mini, basically Google Home devices. You don’t have any, so it shows as zero perfectly fine.

2. the "rooms" is the home control tab. there is 2 tab (devices and rooms) in the home control setting under Assistant.

i assume we only need IHC work in wifi and 4G and Google Home app, no other plug in or add on.

still can't figure out, why the aircon is not setup. but i can see the aircon under the master bedroom when i run google home.

i also tried: "hey google, sync all my device" , reply is all my device synced.
but still not working.

Try to set up your Aircon using lamp template. Then use scene in IHC to do whatever action you want. Then make a routine in Google assistant to set any command to activate respective scenes/action you created.

I suspect IHC Aircon template doesn't work with Google home. The broadlink seller told me to use lamp template for everything as it's the most reliable.

Not true.. I am using the aircon template in iHC and can command the aircon using GH. I can even tell GH to up one degree or change the speed of aircon.

You can set up the aircon in "MBR" within iHC but leave it in general (without room assignment) in GH.

Google assistant still states only lamp is supported. Maybe they haven't updated the page

Device —> click your RM Pro (or the + at top right if adding other controllers) —> Click Add Appliances at bottom

IHC app suddenly cannot add custom devices?
Now only let's me add Broadlink branded devices..

For context, I only have one Mitsubishi electric air conditioner in the living room and I set it up using the lamp template when I first got my RM Pro +. It only has two buttons- on and off.

I don’t assign any room in both IHC and GH app, and I do not use these two apps to control my air con, only the Broadlink e control app and voice commands to my Google Home Mini.

I have no issues thus far, been using this set up since May last year.

I have a router at my bedroom with a good signal... It's a 4 bedroom house... I can control the fan at an angle where it is not fully blocked... It can be controlled by the physical remote at an angle where I can see the end of the fan blade... And yes, it's different code... I try to control the fan with the physical remote at the living room, where 2 bedrooms are in between..

You can't control the fan with the remote if it is fully blocked? If it is RF, you can even control outside of the room with a wall in between

I have 4 aircon fcus. 3 Mitsubishi system 3 and 1 Daikin standalone. All work for me. in fact, the tv template is working too... just that it only works for on/off.

Hmmmmm ya.. abit difficult.. after a button is pressed and activated, need to wait for awhile before can activate a second function... That's was what i thot with the RF controller... Don't have to be in light of sight to control..

you sounded like having an ir remote instead of rf... so r u able control your living room fan from your bedroom?

But IR needs to be in line of sight right? I have not tried the living room control from bedroom.. but I did try to control my bedroom fan from out of sight but intermittent.. and also tried reaching to RM mini, which does not support RF, is unable to... I will try to find out more about the remote that I have..

RM Pro is positioned as a RF transmitter. It gets "triggered" to fire off RF codes via web calls.

Theoretically, if you have a RF switch, it should be able to be switched on by a sensor emitting the RF codes without the need of RM pro. So far the PIRs in the market only emits RF when motion is detected and no RF is sent when normalised. You will still need a HA gateway to normalise the switch.

This is a strange question... hehe this thread is about RM Pro and u might want to direct at the other HA thread. Nonetheless, you can look for Sonoff switches which are controlled by the ewelink cloud. You don't need a controller like RM Pro on prem. Note that these switches will be down if Internet is down.
