Sonoff switches can be hacked to localise the scheduling. But do take note that these Sonoff switches need neutral wiring

Yes, TC2 is just a RF switch which is controlled by a RF/IP gateway such as RM Pro. The actual intelligence of scheduling is done by the HA engine on the Broadlink cloud, commanding the RM Pro to switch on/off the light

Yes, for your needs, you have to either lay neutral wires for your light switch(es) or get a RM Pro with TC2.

how do you guys live using livolo without status feedback? been bothering me for the longest time using broadlink.. thinking if I should switch to xiaomi ecosystem.. else, most of time broadlink is nice, works well with alexa via bridge

You intend to use only 1 gang out of the 3 gang to control the 2 X 60w?
If yes, can consider etouch switch. Max 150w/gang.

- broadlink has 1 but don't have our 3-pin type, so wondering if anyone has success using other brand ones.

2. i have a 14m long LED light strip that i intend to run around the living room like cove lights. the smart switches like the Broadlink TC2 seem to have limitation on the max load per gang of LED Lights at 100w.
- will there be any issues if my 14m LED light strip exceeds 100w?
- if so, any other recommended smart switch that's compatible with RM Pro+ that doesn't require a neutral?
- saw the previous post recommending the etouch switch, think 150w may not be enough for my 14m..

1. You might want to get a RF socket like this to convert a dumb power strip into a smart one.

2. If the drawn power exceeds the power rating, you might cause the switch to be fried and this is a potential fire hazard.

Will changing to xiaomi ecosystem solve this feedback issue? No doubt that there is one Aqara switch without neutral, but without neutral wiring, how to get the feedback? Having status feedback is a good to have for me... Worst case I execute the command twice or fire the command indiscriminately. Anyway, for lightings, there is always visual feedback

Thanks for the reply. I guess have to do a workaround for both.

The good thing about the smart power strip is that we can control each plug individually.

I'm thinking for my LED light strip, I may have to use a smart plug like the SP2 to switch it on or off as it seems to me that the plug can handle much higher wattage than the wall switch.

my wife bought it from TB and she told me it's 11.5w per meter so that works out to be about 160w liao..

Guess TC2 switch is still the best then.. xiaomi has a wider range of devices to try though, broadlink has been the same for the last few years. sometimes would like to turn on the lights when on holiday etc, useful if can see the feedback..don't have an IPcam installed in the home, dont know who might be watching.. haha

Anyone tried using Funry switches with RM pro? They are much cheaper than TC2 and also do not require neutral line.

I'm using funry for my new place. Used for 1month. So far so good, although a few of the lights require the capacitor provided to be stable.

And TC2 switch can connect to KDK ceiling fan since I see the specification cannot exceed 100w?

My rm pro is working well with my kdk ceiling fan. My kdk is using IR to control so have to be line of sight.

I'm using funry switch and it's working well. Not sure about TC2 sorry.

My electrician installed. My kdk ceiling fan doesn't require capacitor.
