How about eight 5g for local use? Stable?I have used Zym in Malaysia and Indonesia... and switched over to Eight last month and i am travelling now around Malaysia... KL and Melaka. Eight has been better and faster speeds. I can confirm this. and with Zym i did have times where i needed to tap on my partner's SIMBA hotspot from her phone. I am very happy with Eight's roaming so far. (I am on the 10.80 5G plan) and also on the seniors 4G plan. both are exceptional.
Im more concern in eight 5g coz im using zym 4g now. Thinking to switch over to eight 5g.i had used zym, vivifi before and now i am on eight.
seriously speaking, i do not miss anything from z or v MVNOs although they are on sinktel network.
i would say both 4G are comparable.
I thought the free 2month port in is only available at CEE?For RedONE to eight Mobile migration, the process is really fast.
Brought my dad to lucky plaza Eight Customer service center just now, the eight Service Booth indicated only operating from Monday to Friday.
Fortunately, the staff onsite said that he can help to raise a Number Port-In request, ported from RedONE BEST10 $10.90 plan to eight Mobile 5G Value Plan $10.80. Within 1 hour, the RedONE sim losses signal and email from eight Mobile said port in successful.
2 Months of free service has been given automatically after successful port in.
Fortunately manage to port out from RedONE before the next billing cycle.
ya, already discussedheard eight is rolling over also . 8 times
if you are worried about this , then i would suggest spend 10.80 and get the 5G value plan to try as 2nd line bahIm more concern in eight 5g coz im using zym 4g now. Thinking to switch over to eight 5g.

It's gonna be a long weekend, expect delay
to self answer as well. Eight DO port in on satuday! Ported in at nearly 8pm Friday @ CEE suntec, i guess i missed friday's port in timing. The next day Saturday 11pm, donor telco cut off my signal. by 12am Sunday, ported in successfully.Weekend and PH no port-in will be done, have to wait for next earliest working day.
Or relax and check tomorrow.
The S$10.80 "5G Value Eight Plan" is available for selection in the Billing page's Auto-Recharge plan selection. Who knows what happens if you choose that plan for your next Auto-Recharge, and if Eight doesn't extend the promotion. You're welcome to try that option if you'd like. You can even make that next Auto-Recharge plan selection today if you wish.
Are prepaid numbers able to be ported in to Eight ?Interesting. My eight mobile number starts with 9, signed up as a new line back in Oct 2025.
Then my other new numbers from Maxx (two times), SIMBA and Zym all started with 8.
You can probably go with SingTel Prepaid or M1 Prepaid. You need to go to the physical shop to select the number. Then you can port to eight.
Just checked my Singtel and M1 prepaid card numbers, some start with 9 and some start with 8.
Are prepaid numbers able to be ported in to Eight ?
When I looked at Vivifi, it mentioned on the signup page that "Note: 1. Only POSTPAID mobile number can be ported in. 2. Postpaid mobile number to be ported in MUST remain active with the existing telco. 3. Prepaid mobile number CANNOT be ported in."
What's the fair use limit per day before they throttle? Give 5TB also no use if they limit you to a few GB per day for fair use.ya, already discussed
