Or relax and check tomorrow.

The S$10.80 "5G Value Eight Plan" is available for selection in the Billing page's Auto-Recharge plan selection. Who knows what happens if you choose that plan for your next Auto-Recharge, and if Eight doesn't extend the promotion. You're welcome to try that option if you'd like. You can even make that next Auto-Recharge plan selection today if you wish.

ah wish I read this thread before I did anything. I renewed all my plans to the 5G Value Eight Plan this morning. the next Recharge date was 11 Jun 2026. lost 10 days :(

What's the fair use limit per day before they throttle? Give 5TB also no use if they limit you to a few GB per day for fair use.

Will they allow to burn all 5TB in one day?
eight does not throttle speed including roaming like other telco/MVNOs. (at least my personal experience). I used over 100GB++ data including data roaming in bolehland.

so one can have full speed all day long regardless how much data u had used, technically u also consume finished 5TB in one day if u can really do so.

I don't know what happens (a) if Eight doesn't extend the S$10.80 plan offer past today (May 31), and (b) if you select the 5G Value Eight Plan today as your desired next Auto-Recharge plan from the Billing page in your online account portal. If you're only mildly interested in the S$10.80 plan, but you won't be upset if you stay on the S$8 plan (or S$5 senior plan), it's worth a try I think. And you can still change your mind later as long as you do it before the next Auto-Recharge.

appreciate this! but I already went ahead like 5am in the morning, thinking they may take down the deal at like 8am. hahaha should have checked the thread first.

hope there's another 1 for 1 topup deal. keep missing it.

5G signal was 1 bar on my Pixel in some areas but the speeds were fine (lol)

Need to take note if there’s any minimum period to stay with StarHub before porting out.

Other than this point, better check with StarHub and eight as well whether there are any restrictions.

I tend to believe no restrictions but there are some strange things from StarHub.

1) StarHub new SIM Only plans cannot port in from or port out to StarHub Prepaid plans (postpaid as per IMDA classification) as per the reports.

2) eight also does not accept the port-in from StarHub Prepaid plans.

3) But then StarHub Prepaid plans have no issues to port out to SingTel/M1 MVNOs.

But this 10.80 plan only last if you dont upgrade.

If you go overseas and need more data after upgrade then stuck liao.

Hopefully the price remain, the benefits same as $8 plan so techinically you paying more for 5G nia.
