can some1 explain 4-Way 3-Unit 5-Receiver

what does it mean
SUYAMA custom IEM has been numbered such as 435 or 224. This represent the configuration of drivers. This 333 means 3 way, 3 units, 3 drivers. Because there are some *units which have two drivers(receivers) built in to the same unit. For example, Westone ES3/ES3X would be named 333 in the style of SUYAMA. However, westone3 would be named as 323, as high and mid drivers are incorporated into one unit(Knowles TWFK). This is clear and non-misleading naming convention I think. So Private 333 employs 3 separate units/drivers.
Got the above from jaben forum

Btw:
Joe, when are you free to meet? I've tried the gold ak100 combo with 333, hope to be able try your dx100 soon :D

i think is 4 pathway

1 unit = 2 driver mid-low
1 unit = 2 driver mid-low
1 unit = 1 driver high

Uh wrong configuration there. C435 is 5-drivers, 4-way crossover config. (with 1 single driver=woofer, Dual drivers=mids, 1 single driver=mid/highs and 1 single driver=tweeter) It's quite abit different from Guan's UM Miracle's which is only a 3-way CIEM, with dual drivers dedicated to each of the lows/mids/tweeter frequency configuration. (same crossover config as Heir 8A's)

I uploaded the drivers chart/crossover configuration before for several prominent and well-regarded CIEMs which includes the FitEar Private C435, on the following thread post previously.

I'm not exactly that interested in double quarter pounder meals.
I'm a small eater.
Dx100 + C435 is already damn sick as it is.

Joe, you very funny ah. While I'm convinced you actually don't like dbl-quarter ponder meals, but surely to me you don't seem to be such a small eater at all, lols. So now ish can call you Ayon x FitEar **** liaos.
:s13::s13:

Oh well, congrats on yr latest hoot and sry abt yr wallet. Wanna retire yr portable EX1000's and willing to let it go for cheap, please kindly contact me in future and lemme know first hor.

I can try and ask him the next time he makes a trip to Fujiya or e-Earphone, the staffs there should know since they are the official distributors for FitEar stuffs there. But considering what im seeing from Fujiya-avic's webstore right now and from what I read from 2ch discussions last time, the F111 has been backordered for quite awhile now in JP so I dunno how long is the replacement policy actually.

Considering that FitEar's own workshop factory in JP is quite small and not as large as ATH/Sony's factories, I think right now they may be prepping and focusing on productions for the Parterre and their other custom monitors instead. (especially the former which I know from the recent headphone fest has a large num of customer backorders to fulfill actually)

Actually I hoot nothing. iAhbee trolled me, so I just played along.
The giveaway was the shipping date, 31 June.

But make no mistake, I'm really impressed with the C435.
Couldn't test the bass since I couldn't get a good seal.
The mids is very clear, with a tinge of sweetness.
The treble is super well extended with good sparkle.

The staging performance is excellent. Wide with layers and layers of depth.
C435 is really airy and open sounding.
With my eyes closed, the sound seems to come from my head, not the usual left & right sides.
Imaging is pinpoint, and the sound is really 3D.

The Fitear C435 shares the same kind of signature as my Miracle; balanced sounding with good staging and treble performance.
However, the C435 is significantly better than the Miracle.
But the difference is definitely not 2.25 times better.

Value wise, the C435 is really properly expensive.
I just can't see myself getting one despite loving the signature.

then what is 3?

if

334
3 Way / 3 Unit / 4 Driver
Low-1 / Low・Mid-2 / High-1

*copied from official fitear website

then

435
4 Way / 3 Unit / 5 Driver

hence

it could be

i think is 4 way or maybe so call crossover... but it doesn't make sense as 4 crossover for 3 driver? so unlikely is crossover

1 unit = 2 driver low* (this is a unit that has 2 driver combine in it)
1 unit = 2 driver mid-low* (this is a unit that has 2 driver combine in it)
1 unit = 1 driver high* (this is a unit that has 1 driver in it)

hence total of 5 drivers in 3 unit

* is depend on the crossover... I just make a guess

so after combining with your explanation

I simplify

1 single driver=woofer, Dual drivers=mids, 1 single driver=mid/highs and 1 single driver=tweeter

to

1 unit = 2 driver - 1 LOW , 1 MID/high (2 crossover)
1 unit = 2 driver - 2 MID (1 crossover)
1 unit = 1 driver high* (this is a unit that has 1 driver in it) (1 crossover)

total 4 crossover

Quite poisoned by C435, but no real urge/ feel to get.

Probably due to the insane price, not much feel for portable and better value to be derieved from desktop setup.

I thought the C435 fitting is quite ok as compared to the 335 which is so big that I have problem getting in my ear.
