that further elaborated the first statement.

And for people who come from a 4K background, most will agree with the first statement anyway unless they have an ultra-powerful graphics card.
So this is a problem of perspective.

Not sure if you were referring to this tall and skinny guy (about 175cm) and wears black-rimmed glasses?
Anyway, I went there to enquire about monitors. He told me IPS monitors are never curved and only VA panels are curved. At that point (having owned the LG34UC79G which is a curved IPS panel), I immediately knew he was sprouting garbage.

The next moment, he told me my video card (RTX 2070s) will not be able to support games at high refresh rate and 2K resolution, so no point buying a gaming monitor. LOL

Does he not know that most people typically do not play games at native resolutions. Most casual gamers play only at 1080p, albeit at high refresh rates. A modest mid-range graphics card can easily support that. And many people who get gaming monitors want to enjoy the high-resolution in productivity/office work and at the same time, high refresh rates for the occasional gaming.
His point is that if you get a 2K monitor, you can only play games at 2K.

Anyway, after I stepped outside, I took a look at the shop's name and rolled my eyes.

From my experience, most casual gamers dont even bother changing the resolution. So default resolution in most games will be the monitor resolution.

If low frame rate, they will just think, my comp probably need upgrade.

Casual gamer where got time to go in and play around with settings one meh? I think most of them after work or school damn shag alr just go in **** **** mobs a few hours then log off already. Still go and change to 1080p, 1440p check the frame rate, do benchmark see which resolution better meh?

Now many people watch twitch mah, i got a few colleagues also want to get better at the game then sometime at work watch those pro csgo players streamer play during lunch time.

Watch those pro play with those settings, im sure many normal players who want to be better at the game would also want to replicate the same settings like sensitivity and other in game settings, hoping can be more pro.
