The camera can be muted using Enforced Stream Silencer, without impact to other audio function.

Google for the APK and side load it to the phone.

This is dam mad till today still can't get any update for the Kitkat version..
been trying since Friday still no sign for update Keep on press for update
nothing it only show "you have the latest version" this is real mad.

I could not get the update via wifi as well, kept pressing check several times.

Switched off wifi, and used 4G to check for update and got it immediately.

and then when it started to update, I switched off data and select update via wifi only and switch on wifi. It continued downloading the update.

Yeah I'm having battery issues

Battery seems to last a lot longer after the update
Last time by 8pm about 40-50%+ now still 65%++ when I go back home

If you have not updated, please consider holding on.

External SD access is restricted. I have some apps that won't work as they need access to external SD e.g. Sygic.

Upgraded my wife's note 3 to KitKat and now having severe battery drain. Charged till 100% and barely use it. 5 hours later battery left 40%. Updated using OTA anyway if it makes any difference.

I know its good to reset and reinstall all apps but is there other ways as to set all the ringtones, alarms , wallpapers are very tiring.

Wallpaper will be back automatic come back once restart. Ring tone n alarm have to re set again.

if you don't mind. Do a factory reset like I did since Kitkat is considered a major update from Jelly Bean.

I'm facing no problem or whatever sorts at all after performing a factory reset.

I guess sometimes updating the FW depends on luck. My note3 works normally after KK update.
