There is a few good studies over at home-barista forum that share the recommended water receipts. But in short, the best practice is to use non-scaling water and thus there is no need to descale.

Single boiler is simple, just use citric acid powder from redman and mix half half after 400ml water out off the machine let it sit. Rinse tank and repeat until no more sour taste from the acid.

Citric acid only works hot but you are not supposed to feed your tank with hot water..

Using softener should be the way to go to keep limescale from forming in the first place.

After much debate with my wife...
will grind my coffee, put into an airtight container and bring over..
Reason as wanna minimize hand carry stuff and space + she kbkp every morning hand grind is a workout.. Whahhaha..

whatever.. happy wife happy life. goes with the flow. just dont complain kopi not nice will do..

If counter space is really a concern then no choice. Should fetch a decent price for second hand. I serviced my bezzera after ten years and it continue to serve me well too.

My brother sells away his machine and get a new one every five years instead of servicing. This is quite smart imo.

Saw the aria, looks like a good small machine, but have no reason to change out my mitica if it can be serviced.

They will also do an inspection on the inside and they will tell u which part is important to repair, which one's optional so you can control the budget. I did all and bill to the company anyway.

Came back feels like new but we sold that off and got another replacement machine since there was a sale and i got an offer. I think if I service every 3 to 5 years, my bezzera could last for decades.

The servicing is only on the grouphead and wand, not the interior hydraulic system. But they will give you a brief inspection.

If there are no problems with those, or you been using softener, should be fine.

Depends on how old. I probably sell it off if it's more than five years.

There are no hydraulics in an espresso machine.…. Don‘t hantam and give nonesense info.

the most important thing in a general servicing in espresso machine is to ensure the integrity of the pressurized boilers and water lines. They should inspect, tighten, lube and replace parts that are worn out. This includes any seals, over pressure valves, anti suction valves etc.

are u using an e61 group head? rhere is a need to dismantle, clean and lube the grouphead.

if you are a heavy user your pressure pumps should also be checked to make sure they are able to push the required pressure. Over time vibratory pumps can lose their output.
