Hi OCBC,

The payroll account is in UK and they did MEPS transfer for salary crediting to SG staffs. Other than asking them to change their transfer method, is there other ways to fulfill the 360 account salary bonus?

Hi poingyo,

Only salary credit through GIRO with the transaction description "GIRO - SALARY" in your statements will qualify for the bonus interest.

We won't be able to avail the bonus interest to other modes of salary crediting.

Does ocbc has any credit card with cashback without any minimum spend?

90N Travel$ can be cashed out at 1:1. So it works as a 1.2% cashback card. :s13:

(Not recommending it as I think OCBC is a trash bank that will cut you off if you are unprofitable, but still…)

query regarding SGD time deposit

Hi,

I have 2 questions.

1) I am not able to find the 4-year 1.95% SGD time deposit in OCBC internet banking website. Could you kindly advise how I can apply for the 4-year 1.95% SGD time deposit?

2) After I open a $20,000 4-year 1.95% SGD time deposit in October, can I continue to open another $20,000 4-year 1.95% SGD time deposit in December?

Thank you for your kind assistance.

Hi Jason,

For our internet banking, we offer tenures of up to 36months for our SGD time deposit; the 48M tenure is offered mainly for our FDMR mortgage loan package.

Though, this tenure is not offered on our internet banking, if you would like to place, our service executive can assist you over a phone call. Please note that for this tenure, you can place 1 placement of up to 20,000

If you would like to proceed, please drop us a private message with your mobile number. We will give you a call.

Alternatively, send in your request via secured mail and let us have the 16 digit secured mail reference number thereafter.

if u want to put 4 years 20k @ 1.95% FD... may as well go for etiqa 2.68% for 6 years... can hedge against rising interest in the mid-term.

4 years is a darn long time :p

Can I place $10,000 in Oct and then another $10,000 in Dec? Or must I place $20,000 in Oct?

Hi Jason,

You do not need to get a mortgage loan package to apply for the 48 months Fixed Deposit of 1.95% p.a. for placement of $5,000 to $20,000.

For this tenure, you will only be able to place 1 placement of up to 20,000.

If you have further queries on this, do drop us a PM with your mobile number. We will arrange for our service executive to call and assist.

Hi Jason,

Allow us to clarify that you will be able to make multiple placements for the 48 months Fixed Deposit tenure.

However, do note that it is not available via Internet Banking. Our service executive will be able to assist via call, but they will only be able to assist with one placement of up to $20,000 per day.

Does OCBC call to meet up to discuss details of changing to premier account?

Hi martintylor,

May we know if you received a call from someone from OCBC asking to meet up with you, and would like to verify on the identity of the caller? Or, are you keen on joining us as a Premier Banking customer, and would like to speak to someone on this.

I was late for paying the credit card payment. Tried online Late fee waiver, but refused. What to do now?

Hi there,

You may utilize the calculator to calculate your tax savings with your SRS account (to be used as a general guide):
https://www.ocbc.com/personal-banking/investments/supplementary-retirement-scheme-account

Or, use it to fund any of the following financial products under ‘Make your SRS funds work harder’.

Thank you.
