Whats going on in OCBC?

I'm just quoting the thread I started.
Any OCBC employees lurking here?
Is there some sort of system failure at OCBC banking division? Seriously headache now.

1) Lied to on benefits when being asked to sign up for NTUC Membership OCBC Bank credit card.
2) When card received benefits did not match those promised so called in to cancel the card.
3) Existing card eaten by ATM machine
4) Went to orchard gateway branch to report and get replacement but given some obscure very general worded form and told to wait for 5 - 7 working day for a replacement to be sent
5) Patiently waited 7 days but no card arrived. Called call center only to be told the form was processed only a few days ago so I had to wait longer.
6) Called in again to speak to a manager, and instead was told my card has been cancelled.
7) Called in yet again, and was told that applying for the credit card meant my old card would be auto cancelled.
8) Called in yet again, and was told I filled in a wrong form at the branch which got my card cancelled. So insisted I had to apply for a brand new card because "system" does not allow replacement of cancelled card.
9) Called in again, and was told that actually if I had not signed the form I would not be facing this issue and should have read the form clearly. So I have no choice if I want my card back I need to apply for a new one.
10) Went down to the office. Nothing at all was done to make up for nearly a month of excuses and endless waiting. Even head of department or some titled guy insisted he is powerless to do anything about it and I still had to fill in the new application form. Filled in the form but insisted on a written letter of apology and explanation on how this happened and what was being done to prevent this.
11) A week later, card arrives in mail. Letter also arrives but only has an apology for point (1) and $30 NTUC voucher. Not what I requested but what the heck, I got my card.
12) A week later, my NEW card stops working.
13) Call in and guess what they tell me? Card has been cancelled.

TL;DR
They f**ked up on so many different levels I really have no clue if I should terminate all my accounts and services with them.

Hello

How senior (intern, executive, manager, avp, vp, ...) is the nick responding to the threads here?

In any event of dispute, what is the resolution? How to confirm who it is who responded?

Whilst OCBC may have the financial clout to discover the person behind the nick, most of the forum folks here would not be able to take on OCBC.

You may have noticed that I do not have a high post count as I usually lurk around here more than I post.

Why dont you drop me a PM with a direct line so that I may give you a call instead?

Hi YoYoMa88,

That’s a difficult question to answer as the team that manages this account has varying levels of seniority. What’s important is that whoever is replying would have made the relevant checks with the appropriate individual or department before replying

Resolutions are typically not conducted on Hardwarezone and posters are encouraged to contact us via secure channels to look into their queries if necessary. We have different signoffs for different people who post here as well as a system that tracks who logs in and submits new posts.

There’s no “taking on” involved, we’re here to help. If there’s anything we can help you with, please let us know.

Your colleagues from the call center and from the Credit Card something dept have called me and re-applied for the card on my behalf as "the card is linked to the account so the whole account and all related cards have been cancelled".

I mean, this kind of excuse doesn't even faze me anymore after all the atrocious excuses which has been given in relation to my situation. Whomever is running the show really needs to buck up.

Hello OCBC

Well done in doing whatever leaving the share price below $9 steadily for so long.

What is the cost of using Twitter, FB and HDWZ channels to connect with your customers?

Is the team supporting these channels rotated and the initials representative of a staff or the staff behind the initials ever-changing?

Why do you force your staff to take on the bank products regardless whether they need it or not?

Does it help boost signup nunbers?

Hello OCBC

How long does it take for your team to reply to my message from the ibanking platform?

Hi liburan_natal,

We are sorry for the wait. Have you received any response yet?

If not, could you PM us your contact number and 16 digit secured mail reference number so that we may get in touch.

Hi
I have 360 account and have been enjoying the interest for salary being credited to the account.
But Recently I change my job and the giro description for salary doesn't say as salary.
Just called ocbc bank to ask what to do... As it's my salary. Only reason I opened this 360 account is for those interests. The rep on the phone says no way.
Is there anything can be done ?

Hi af7680,

Only salary credit of at least $2,000 through GIRO with the transaction description "GIRO - SALARY" in your statements will qualify for the 360 account Salary bonus.

You may wish to check with your HR on this.

I am furious OCBC likes to play the high hand.

I think MAS would love to understand more about your manipulative ways in getting people to take up card membership to boost numbers and then start to reduce the numbers when times are not good then explain it is 'natural' due to economy.

I never activated your card yet you constantly ask for annual fee to be paid, send reminders, send chasers then cancel the card like I own you when card not even activated.

I cannot find the right negative word for your card management.

Hi YoYoMa88,

Regardless of usage/activation, the card comes with annual fee. Auto annual fee waiver is granted when minimum spent is met within the membership year.

Is ^DT = Daniel Tan, Denice Teo or Donald Tham? If I need to quote, how am I assured that I am quoting the right person?

Hello Donald Gam,

Please quote the relevant Ts and Cs (Jan 2011 and July 2015)that states regardless of activation, the annual fee is to be paid.

Hi YoYoMa88,

If you were to look at our OCBC Cardmembers Agreement (http://www.ocbc.com/assets/pdf/cards/cm_agreement.pdf), under 5.3. Other Charges, it states under point (a) that customers will be responsible for the following charge:

non-refundable annual service fee for the issue or renewal of each Principal and Supplementary card

Should you require any further clarification, do drop us a PM.

Thank you.
