I occasionally get calls claiming to be OCBC offering Personal Loans, and the Titanium Credit Card etc from numbers originating from 6679 5XYZ. I'm assuming that these are legitimate?

Is there any way to opt out of these? They even contact me on weekday nights and other weird timings (so hardworking).

Hi nekoarc,

They do appear to be legitimate calls, judging from the numbers you have shared.

You may opt out of marketing updates via your internet banking > Customer Service > Change personal details. After clicking on 'Edit' you may check/uncheck the relevant boxes.

Complain on the action taken by the ocbc team for the Pay Any Card Service System Glitch

I'm disappointed with the way ocbc handled the Pay Any Card System glitch issue which occurs on 1 march 2018 which results in double deduction of money from my account for the bill , the incident is as follows:

01/03/2018: i made a payment of 1,945.41 to my scb cc using the Pay Any Card service on ocbc ibanking

03/03/2018: Found that the money was refunded back to my account. So i went on the make the payment for my scb cc again.

05/03/2018(today):
5uolex.jpg

Received ocbc sms this afternoon stating that due to the system glitch they will deduct(which is auto) the amount from my account after 4:00pm. This sms is sent to me at 4:03PM

As a result of the above, my account was deducted twice for the same credit card bill.

Called up ocbc, the staff after verifying my details diverted me to the cc dept as she doesnt have the cc info. The next staff from the cc dept checked and told me the 2 transaction already completed (basically she means there nothing she can do about it)

Ocbc should have informed the users on either 1st or at least 2nd of march and not wait until today(5th). And the auto deduction comes tgt with the sms too WTH. I'm truly disappointed with how ocbc handles the issue

FYI 1.9k CASH in account is not the same as a credit balance in a credit card account for everyone

**update: ocbc called and told me their IT dept suggested to them to liaise with scb to revert back the transaction, will update me in 3 days time

Fees

Hi,

Does OCBC charge for GIRO transactions?
Saw that it is $10 per transactions under the Fees and Charges.
Does any bank charge for GIRO?

Is there an annual fee for OCBC360 - the bank account and the debit card?

Thanks.

Hi Cicero1,

Are you referring to page 11 of our pricing guide - https://www.ocbc.com/assets/pdf/pricing guides/personal banking pricing guide.pdf ?

GIRO Standing Instruction charge of $10 refers to when a customer visits branch to request for a recurring monthly transfer to another personal banking account.

For eg. You need to make a monthly transfer of $100 to your friend. Instead of setting up recurring transfers via Internet Banking, you decided to visit our branches to make the request instead. This will come with a fee of $10 per transaction.

There is a service fee of $2 should your 360 account average daily balance of the month falls below $3,000. This fee is waived for the first year.

Hi linusz,

For iPhones and Samsung users, they will be able to login to our mobile app using One Touch (fingerprint) to check on bank balances, latest transactions and credit card overview.

https://www.ocbc.com/personal-banking/online-banking/onetouch.html

However, to make any transactions, customers will still be required to log in to mobile banking via access code, PIN, and OTP.

Hi there,

To be eligible for the Wealth Bonus, you need to purchase any eligible financial product of at least the minimum amount through OCBC Bank to earn either 0.6% or 1.2% per year. Only purchases made from 1 April 2017 will qualify.

Do give us a call at 1800 363 3333, if you would like to check if you are eligible for the Wealth Bonus.
