Hi Jazzbie

You can visit any one of our branches with your NRIC. You will be asked to fill in a closure form.

Please ensure that all your investment holdings are liquidated before closing the account.

Hi. Can I don't close the acoount but make full cash withdrawal from the available balance in the SRS account? Intend to still keep the unit trust holdings in SRS.

Hi Jazzbie

You can make a withdrawal without closing the SRS account. Please visit our branch to fill in the SRS withdrawal form.

From your first withdrawal made after reaching the statutory retirement age,
you will have up to 10 years to withdraw the full amount:

• you may withdraw as many times as you wish without any penalty; and
• 50% of these withdrawals will be tax-exempt.

At the end of the ten-year withdrawal period, if there is still money or investment remaining in your SRS account, 50% of it will be subject to income tax.

You can refer to the MOF site for more information: https://www.ifaq.gov.sg/MOF/apps/fc...gpb1gSuoYW7sXMUpUL+nQEIhnhS1hlVsGBU=#FAQ_1494

Follow. I have been noticing this as well. Even with cash deposit at the ATM first, then fast out.

In my statement it always shows the withdrawal first before my fast transfer. This is regardless if I had deposited the cash first before initating the fast transfer.

I do hope to see an honest reply on this matter.

Update: OCBC replied on my enquiry and informed me that the FAST transfer from UOB was indeed received on the same day (12 Dec 18) but was posted on 13 Dec 18 due to their system updates. So the internal funds transfer on 12 Dec 18 became an OD. They agree to waive the OD interest charge but as of now I have yet to receive any refunds.

I am not happy with the way OCBC branch officer at Nex handled this enquiry by making a sweeping remark that I must have withdrawn the funds before the funds were credited, thereby causing the OD, despite my stressing that it was a FAST transfer and should be instantly credited.

I am also puzzled as to why the money could be credited but not yet posted? After all, 12 Dec wasn't a public holiday or Sunday. If it's not posted due to system updates, the system should not wrongly reflect the "un-posted amount" as part of the current balance available for transfer. This gap between crediting and posting could potentially be a "trap"!

If the current system is not changed to prevent an uninitiated user from transferring funds that were received but not yet "posted", incidents like this may happen again. I hope OCBC can do something about this.

Hi ku1234,

Our systems goes through an update after 9pm. Customers are encouraged to ensure that the fund is credited to the account by 9pm for the transaction and value date to be on the same day. We will share your feedback with the relevant department.

We are sorry as well for how our branch colleague had handled your query. If you would like for us to arrange for our service manager to give you a call on your experience at our branch, do drop us a private message, and we will make the necessary arrangement.

I have a Friend who is charged annual fee for her Titanium rewards credit card in the 2nd year. She could not get it waived.

Could you please help her?
What details do you need to facilitate the waiver?

Thanks so much.

Hi both,

Could you try deleting and reinstalling the app?
Please drop us a PM if you are still having issues with it thereafter.

Let us know what exactly the issue is (provide us with screenshots, if possible), your phone model, operating system, and mobile banking app version.

Thank you.

Hi there,

Annual service fee for the Titanium Rewards card will be waived if cardholder meets the minimum spend of $10,000 during the card's anniversary year.

We could assist your friend with a waiver appeal, but do note that it will still be subject to review and approval.

She can call our hotline at 1800 363 3333. Alternatively, do inform her to get in touch with us via PM on our social media platforms, and we will arrange for a call to her.

hi OCBC,

for the OCBC Passbook and Statement Savings Accounts Chinese New Year Deposit Prosperity Promotion 2019, it states:

An Eligible Customer who performs an Eligible Transaction during the Promotion Period is entitled to the Promotional Gift if he or she deposits Fresh Funds amounting to S$10,000 into the Eligible Account via branches and agrees to have the deposited funds withheld by OCBC Bank for a period of 6 months. Deposits performed through self-service channels are considered eligible for this Promotion but a visit to a branch on the same day will still be required so that arrangements can be made for the funds to be withheld.

does this mean my deposited $10,000 will be kept away/ unseen, so that later i won't accidentally withdraw that money via atm or via purchases? resulting jeopardize my $110 NTUC vouchers. :o

Hi there,

The fresh funds deposit for the promotion will be withheld for 6 months. This mean that you will not be able to use/withdraw the funds for the period of 6 months.

If you need to withdraw the funds before the 6 months is up, you will have to visit our branch. Refer to Point 2.2 and 3.4 of the T&Cs: https://www.ocbc.com/personal-banki...assets/pdf/passbook-statement-cny-tnc2019.pdf

so if my existing acct got $600, i put in $10000 for the promo, after visit the branch and settle the lock-in, when i go check balance on ATM the next day, will it show as $600 or $10600?

so if it show as $10600, that means i can only withdraw up to $600 for daily usage, am i right to say that? :o
