so if my existing acct got $600, i put in $10000 for the promo, after visit the branch and settle the lock-in, when i go check balance on ATM the next day, will it show as $600 or $10600?

so if it show as $10600, that means i can only withdraw up to $600 for daily usage, am i right to say that?

You will see $10,600 as your ledger balance, and $600 as your available balance.

You are right to say that you will only be able to withdraw the $600.

is entitled to the Promotional Gift if he or she deposits Fresh Funds amounting to S$10,000 into the Eligible Account via branches

Sorry but does that mean only CASH deposits are eligible? I should have the 10000$ in hand when I deposit at the branch?

My plan was to have the minimum 1000$ to open the account, then do FAST transfer for the remaining 9k when I'm at the branch to lock it in. Is this possible? OR is it possible for the branch to open the account first then I transfer the whole 10K using FAST?

Usual modes of fresh funds are cash, cheque & cashier's order. If your fresh funds placement is of the following mode, please bring it along with you during your visit to our branch to sign the T&Cs.

However, customers may also transfer funds via Internet Banking from their non OCBC account into their eligible OCBC account. Do ensure that you also visit our branch on the same day the funds are credited to sign the T&Cs & for arrangements to be made for the funds to be withheld.

You may open the account with us first & place the initial deposit of $1,000.
On the day of visit, do also let the branch know of your intention to top up the fresh funds for this promotion.

You may make multiple fresh funds deposits within 3 days to make up the required earmark amount.

As FAST transfers are almost instantaneous, you may visit the branch on the day you perform the FAST transfer. The date of earmark will start when the funds are credited into the eligible account.

Thanks for the clarification.
We note that you have closed the account that was previously linked to your BCIP account.

Normally, the dividend will be credited to the linked deposit account, but as you have closed it, the dividends will be sent via a Cashier’s Order to your registered mailing address instead.

We recommend customers to maintain at least 1 settlement account so that any dividends or proceeds from the sale of the holdings can be credited to the customer’s settlement account. Otherwise, customers will need to wait for the Cashier’s Order whenever there is such a payment.

for e.g., if i have a dining spending of $750, then online retail spending of more than $50, do i get 6% out of the $750 since my total is more than $800 for the calendar mth? or do i only get 0.3% since i spent less than $800 for dining?

The minimum spend is on your total credit card monthly bill.
So as long as your total spend adds up to $800, you will get the tier up rebates for the various categories.

Do take note that certain types of transactions will not count towards the minimum spend.
