Hi OCBC,

May I find out which of your deposit accounts are chequeing accounts?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Are you looking to apply for an account that will allow you to have SGD cheque books?

You could consider the following accounts:

- 360: https://www.ocbc.com/personal-banking/accounts/360-account.html

- Current: https://www.ocbc.com/personal-banking/accounts/basic-current-account.html

- NTUC-OCBC Starter: https://plus.com.sg/apply/banking/ntuc-ocbc-starter-account

- Plus! Savings: https://plus.com.sg/apply/banking/plus-savings-account

Cheque books are $10 each.

Hi OCBC,

Regarding the Bonus+ Savings Account...

1) On what day the interest will be given?

2) The monthly $500 must be fresh fund excluding the interest, or it can be the combination of both (incremental balance), e.g. interest $40 + deposit of $460?

3) Any minimum period to close account without admin fees?

Hi there,

Customers can earn up to 3 types of interest:

Base interest
•Earned on daily balance regardless of any withdrawals done
•Deposited on the last day of the month (if the last day is a Sunday or public holiday, it will be on the previous calendar day instead)
•Transaction description: INTEREST CREDIT

Monthly No Withdrawal Bonus Interest
•Earned if there is no withdrawal made for the calendar month
•Deposited on the 1st working day of the following month
•Transaction description: BONUS – MTHLY NO W/D

Monthly Save + No withdrawal bonus interest
•Earned if there is a deposit of a total of S$500 into the account for the calendar month and no withdrawal made for the calendar month.
•Deposited on the 1st working day of the following month
•Transaction description: MTHLY NO W/D&SAVE

The monthly deposit of $500 does not have to be in fresh funds.

There will be a S$30 charge if account is closed within 6 months of opening.

Hi,

Thank you for the prompt reply. Some further doubts though...

1) Just to confirm, so an 'incremental balance of $500 inclusive of interest earned' is eligible for 1.45% of interest right? Because the criteria states '...when you don’t withdraw and deposit a minimum of S$500 monthly.' It's not clear enough.

2) Account closure must be done in branch or online also can?

3) If both a 360 and Bonus+ accounts are under a same person's name, both are insured for $75K individually I suppose?

Thanks.

Hi there,

Apologies for the late reply.

1) Interest crediting will not be counted as part of the $500 required

2) Account closure can be done via submitting the account closure form at our branches or by mailing in

3) The SDIC insurance of $75,000 covers per person per bank. If you have a 360 account and a Bonus+ Savings account, you will be insured for $75,000 in total

Hi OCBC,

I've a dormant saving account. Can I reactivate my account at ATM? Or do I need to do it at a branch?

Thanks.

Hi there,

If you have access to Internet Banking, you may try the following steps:

◦Log in to OCBC/Plus! Internet Banking.
◦Click on "Customer Service" and select “Reactivate Account(s)” service
◦The page will refresh and list your inactive savings or current accounts.
◦You may then proceed to select the accounts to reactivate and click the “Preview” button.
◦The next page will prompt you for your One-Time-Password (OTP) and once entered, click on the “Submit” button.
◦The next page will display the completion status of the transaction.

If you do not have Internet Banking, or if your account is not available for reactivation via Internet Banking, please visit our branches instead.

You will not be able to reactive the account via ATM.

Hi alex22,

You are right. $54 cash credit will be given for every $5,000 fresh funds deposited into the Passbook or Statement Savings account.

This would mean that a deposit of $20,000 fresh funds will give you $216 cash credit.

FAST transfer from other banks will count as fresh funds.

Please refer to our website for more details: https://www.ocbc.com/personal-banking/accounts/campaign/national-day-2019.html

Do take a look at the Terms & Conditions as well: https://www.ocbc.com/personal-banki...book-statementsavings-deposits-promo-2019.pdf

Back in June you guys had the offer of $108 cash credit for every $10k deposit and need to hold for 8 months. Now this one is in smaller sum and only hold for 7 months. Those who sign up for the earlier promotion become bo hua?

The factsheet does not state an upper limit, just that it's multiples of 5k per count.
Is there an upper limit for deposits under this promo?

Hi there,

Passbook Savings account cannot be open online.

If you are looking to open a Statement Savings account, you will be able to do so via MyInfo. The account will be open immediately, if no further reviews are required.

To qualify for $216 cash credit, can I deposit $20,000 fresh fund in one transaction or it has to be $5,000 each in 4 transactions?
