Hello OCBC,

It is very hard to get through to your call center, especially on the credit card front. This has not improved over the last 5 years. I have compared this with other bank call center response. OCBC is dead last.

I thought I was the only one, but now OCBC app keeps flagging phone as "potential risk".

Previously its no issue, now lock me out of my account. Jialat lah OCBC

Did you try deleting & reinstalling the mobile banking app?

Last night I still can access it using my mobile phone as the oneToken to authorize

Now you tell me reinstall, I can't even use it as the onetoken.

Please don't advise blindly, now I cant even access my bank account on my PC

- operating system and version
- mobile app version
- screenshot of any error message received

He probably has a rooted phone which is not friendly to most banking app.

Hi there,

Yes, the message mentioning "potential security risks' usually occurs when the app detects any risks on the mobile device such as:

- Root/ super user access (e.g. jailbroken devices, devices with development/ debugging modes)

- Remote access from other devices to the mobile device, e.g. TeamViewer, LogMeIn, VNC, etc

- Library tampering applications, e.g. FakeGPS, FakeWifi, 3g/4g Unrestrictor, etc.

- Malware – tools may be installed to scan the device, e.g. Avast, AVG, McAfee

Never changed anything from my phone and previously the OCBC app worked fine.
Just a Huawei phone, didn't know that means it's rooted

Previously the OCBC app worked fine on my phone, now it flags it as unsafe with nothing done to my phone.

Not only me, but other people here are affected. Maybe it's time for the bank to check on their software instead of asking customers to check on their hardware

Requested to cancel my Robinsons card on 2nd August.

CSO said will look into waiver instead.

How long till confirmation?

I don't want it to be delayed and end up charging me before cancellation.

Think it's time to complain to MAS about OCBC... they got strict rules that customers must be able to access their accounts at all times... worse is never even try to fix the issue

your app got problem

just now and before, when my ocbc is open, transferring from sc to ocbc, ocbc balance do not go up, need to login again

also, when ocbc timeout, will pop out full screen and block whatever I'm doing

This happens after recent updates. Otherwise is working fine on my China phone (Xiaomi). But this seems like a norm currently on other banking apps e.g. Citi and CIMB. For what I'm using now, only POSB app can still close (exit) properly.

Is it true if I don't spend a minimum amount of money for OCBC CC, they will not waive off my annual fee?

What is the minimum amount to spend?
