130/80 consider HBP
so if u go see doctor, they will recommend chiu to eat medicine liao. :(

i see hbp people cannot do burpee, u able to do burpee?
130/80 is definitely still ok, anything above 140~145 probably needs meds if consistently that level.

Possible but must be regimented routine
it went down to less than 130 after 2 weeks of overnight oats for breakfast and exercise. skipped dinner also. the problem is that once you stop, it comes back again. i stopped cos i was sick previously and it shot to 143) now trying to get back the routine.

My research for hbp

-exercise (this is the best method)
-don't eat any sodium food (this is lazy method)
-lose 10kg will impact bp (work for some)
-avoid drinking coffee (work for some)
-adequate sleep , then don't sleep late.
-don't get angry/stressed by work.
-lower cholesterol. e.g plant sterols. statins

this don't work.
-drink less water

my guess for exercise is
-improve your heart strength
-it widen your vessels in the process

my experience is that despite that actions, its still reflects a lower than normal bp. If u wait 30mins to one hr after u wakeup, that will reflect a more accurate bp.
I only take my BP at noon, once a day.

Wow, why send A&E?
Did you feel anything that they needed to send u to A&E?
Then what A&E did? Operate on you or some medical procedures?

it's SOP...u can decline, but they need to offer u to go :s13:

because if anything happens to the patient, it's professional negligence

but if u decline, it's ur daiji

exercise definitely helps, 11km jog, i go to 100/70 i think for bp from previously 140/100. after i reduce salt n sugar n fasting, now is 125/130 ...

coffee impact's i think is minimum, caffeine will increase your heart rate and as a result the bp will increase but coffee as a duretics it will force water out of your body and becos of that ur bp may drop abit.

bp medication falls into a few categories.
1/Durectics
2/Beta blockers
3/calcium channel blockers
4/angiotensin receptor blocker

im not doctor, no medical advise.

Too much sodium in the food nowadays cut it off and you might be able to get off meds, one thing sodium get excreted through sweat so ppl with hbp should do more cardio

as we age, our vessels become narrow..... this 1 i know.

as for the 130/80... the doctor will issue medication regardless. this is what the doctor said. not me....
the doctor deems below 130/80, then consider acceptable range

i think it looks fine but i am not doctor.

usually when u just wakeup, the bp is quite low as the heart beat just increases from lower state from sleep.

maybe u can also add in before and after meals to confirm the bp, additionally the time of day. i find that immediately post meal, the bp tends to be higher when insulin are released.

u also can add comments on what food u eaten, lots of carbs or salt intake /carb intake etc, then u can draw inference from the pattern if not then ur spreadsheet is quite flat without additional details for your own analysis.

make sure the line is in the middle where it can "feel" the pulse as there is where the main veins or arteries are.

Thank you. Noted.

no need to measure right arm.
just the left arm because it is nearest your heart, the most accurate.

the most accurate is take bp after u wake up.

ur bp is ok, but best to keep below 130 at all times. most likely u not enough sleep/stressed on that day.
Thank you. Appreciate for your reply.

types of exercises do matter. the most effective ones are isometric such as plank, handgrip etc and taichi. for taichi I will say practice th 24 form style since it was used for trial quite often .

warning: bro science

I believe the key to hpb is the management of intrusive thoughts and negative triggers. It may explain why meditation is effective. it point is to remain still when a negative thoughts arises.

However meditation is has many nuisance so it is hard to do it right. Taichi to me is a form of movement meditation, similar to the Buddhist walking meditation. basically you restrict your movement so slowly that you train yourselves to remain still despite frustration. a kind of non-reactive training.

sauce:
24 form style taichi

isometric exercises
