Recently did body checkup, despite taking fish oil for few years still high cholesterol. Thinking of go JB buy some med. Can someone advice which med the best. Many thanks.

if statin, buy crestor. cut down sugar.
take chia seed, avocado and pomegranate juice.

cut down carbo as well.

ezetimibe to add on if you can afford and don't mind more med. it removes cholesterol from stomach food before entering blood stream.

But to me is not so straightforward, I practice IF, eat home cooked lunch with half bowl of rice, many veggies and small portion of stir-fry fish/chicken, early dinner is a bowl of oats with seeds, nuts and fruits.

I tried exercise 5 times a week with 30 mins each. Did all this for 3 months, my readings improve very little, still in dangerous zone, even my doc can't explain why I have healthy lifestyle with exercise still like that, so she gave me medication.
Same same here.
Intermittent fasting. Lunch oats, fish , usually steamed, other times pan fried. Dinner brown rice , vegetables and either a bit of chicken (usually breast meat ) or pork (lean or loin).
Exercise almost every day >30 minutes.
Not much improvement in total , but no improvement in LDL

One problem with me, and I think quite a number here, is insufficient sleep. I think that that affects cholesterol levels too.

I am buddhist, don't drink alcohol, don't eat oily food, cut down on carbs and sugar. My bmi is at bottom line of normal range too. Can't really think of anything else to fix liver from producing excessive cholesterol

eat more bright color veg and fruit will help w lowering cholesterol. chia seed, avocado will help w good cholesterol increase. as long good cholesterol is about same 1:1 ratio, reduce sugar/carbo intake and exercise (must raise heart beat to the allowable basing on your age and health condition), you should be safe with regular testing. Do run CT scan from neck down to heart to check for clog. if clean then fine else if build up is there, you will need regular monitoring plus medication.

oatmeal if you can stomach it, is good to lower cholesterol.
