Anyone stayed at Crown Park Hotel Seoul? Within my budget but not as close to subway like L7.
Didnt stay before but the hotel is very close to subway, just around the corner it seems.

Just across the street from myeongdong

Thanks. Actually, saw previous posts that myeongdong not as lively anymore. Any recommendations to stay preferably under $150? but okay to stretch abit if it's really recommended...

This Sheraton seems not bad.
Location is close to subway n Myeongdong.
Doesnt seem will be noisy.
Can earn Marriott pts.

Ive stayed at Metro Hotel.
It is also near subway n at the edge of Myeongdong but rooms are tiny.

L7 Myeongdong is nice too.
Basic hotel and can have Namsam views n earn Lotte pts.
Thank you! Decided to book and give it a try.

By the way, is it true that hotels in S.Korea don't turn on their aircon/heater during certain seasons? Heard some hotels the feedback like during spring season, no aircon turned on etc etc.

Depends on hotel i think.

Stayed before at cheap shilla stay n they do central aircon/heating even though each room has individual controls.
Cheapo hotel trying to save costs.

Other hotels allow individual rooms to change the temp

If staying at L7, is it better to book direct with Lotte app? (In terms of rewards)

Can get lotte points that u can use for duty free n discounts in lotte hotels.

But if u dont plan to stay in Lotte hotels much, maybe better to use a 3rd party.

Any recommendations for hotels in Jeju. See agoda and seem like some hotels are very expensive. Not sure which area to stay also ? Where is the main shopping area?

Some people recommend staying in the Seogwipo area (southern part).

Depends what u want to do and how long as well.

How about Hotel PJ Myeongdong

Close to subway but the area from streetview seems a bit rundown.

Read the reviews and said that the room temp is centrally controlled meaning that u cant change the room temp yourself.
Might be a problem if it gets too warm.

Personally, i wouldnt stay there but everyone is different.

Understand this is a hotel recommendation thread but just wondering why you guys don't consider AirBNB? Was it because of the recent news about spy cam trend in Korea..?

Personally i dont like airbnb because of that reason.
It is legal for homeowners to install cams in their own home.

Also
1. dont earn points
2. No service
3. Limited checkin/checkout
4. Horror stories from reviews
