was checking the system update from the setting page for the whole day, and it didn't prompt any update. but it's available through hicare apps.

guys, just go into your hicare, and click on update under quick service.

Can request EMUI 9 update in HiCare app now!

Maybe try factory resetting the phone.

if anyone of you use private space, you should notice long lag in switching these 2 spaces. the lag is noticeably reduced in emui 9.

the phone manager optimisation is now able to achieve 100%.

I'm not sure how reliable is HW proprietary phone manager, but the phone does feel faster and smoother.

If you are waiting for service provider is by batch but you can update through HiCare instantly from today onward but need Huawei id to login.
