Huawei Mate 10

Wow, so much issues on Mate 10 Pro...

The issues I had was apps going crazy after:
Using phone clone to transfer from Samsung device(there were some Samsung app framework got transfered too)
Installing a 3rd party launcher Nova + sesame + tesla unread which screwed up my Theme store and stock widgets
Facebook + messenger(uninstalled them) which keeps interfering with youtube.
Changing screen resolution to HD and this made the phone fonts and icons go haywire.
I made a clean factory reset and refuse to use built in Facebook /messenger or any 3rd party launchers and things are working great for now.
Notifications are working just fine.
Earlier I got the Remax Bluetooth earbuds and yes the sound was sometimes distorted because it doesn't support Aptx codex.
So I got myself Huawei AM60 about few weeks back and no issues since then. Never had drop in sound etc.
Oreo 8 is just like JB before kitkat and Lollipop before Marshmallow when it was first released, a lot Google play apps could not get used to it until several updates, and finally a new version released.

I feel quite a lot of issue is not a result of the phone but rather the OS version which is an unfortunate and inherent fragmentation issue with Android. When you use cloning, you run the risk of cloning something incompatible over. Same problem if you choose to change a PC and choose to clone your hard drive. Also, Google don't enforce app developers to comply to some standards or risk getting kicked out of the store like Apple. The result is that applications may not be compatible at the beginning. You may have read that Oreo's adoption rate is still below 1%, so there is little incentive for app developers to rush out an update to make it compatible.

i always do a 'clean install'. avoid doing transfer of apps files or anything to do with software to avoid compatibility/instability issues.

Hi bro how does your fb interfere with YouTube? Coz when I play YouTube it will always crash and my phone locks for 5-8 secs.

location settings is based on PHONE not account, hence when you ON you ON for ALL and when you OFF you OFF for all accounts. I have 3 google accounts. it's the same for all Android phones 7 and above.

Location history is per account setting and can be toggled. You can login Google account and set individually.

My Nexus 6p can update individually but mate 10 pro update both at the same time.

Again please take note, it's location history not location... There is a difference.

I don't have any issue with most of my apps, except the "white screen" issue when launching YouTube for the first time. actually I find that most complaints are coming from Mate 10 Pro users. In fact, I'm really satisfied with my Mate 10 non pro. Great standby time and really stable. Best phone I've ever use.

I'm using a Mate 10 Pro. Except for the Bluetooth issue which I don't use and unable to verify, I don't have any issues with the phone. Only app that don't play well is OFO which have a tendency to crash when launched for the first time.

1) for sms and calls history use SMS backup and restore from playstore. Setup to backup to google drive so restore also from Google drive. Fairly straightforward

2) WhatsApp go to whatsapp settings -> chats -> chat backup to backup to your Google drive. When you install WhatsApp on your new phone, it will ask if you want to restore. Dont miss that message and choose that.

Theres no official way to restore WhatsApp msg between Android and iOS. You need 3rd party app for that

I have tried removed both my account but still unable to resolve.

In the end I just remove my secondary account and only keep one account in my phone.

I am new to Oreo and Mate 10. Have some questions, hope someone can help.

1) Everytime when we delete a photo, it will state that the deleted photo will be store in the gallery bin for 30 days. Any idea where is this gallery bin located?

2) About LINE widget, for example:
If I have Mr. A LINE widget and Mr. B LINE widget on the home screen. When Mr. A message comes in, both Mr. A and Mr. B LINE widget badge will appear. Anyone have the same problem?

iCloud is meant for backing up to iOS. No way will you be able to access iCloud on an Android phone. I just switched back to Android from iOS, and had to go through the same.

Yes, last I read it was 0.8%. As you can tell most flagships are still on Android 7, including the biggest seller of Android phones, Samsung.

Anyway, I suspect OFO is not working well on Mate 10 Pro due to GPS issue. When I launch it first time, it will try to zoom in on my location before it exits on its own. When I relaunch it, it will pin point my location fine. Not a deal breaker for me, and I have removed OFO. I can't believe the amount of permission that it needs in order to use it. Why the blazers does it need permission to my contact list for example to rent a bike?

I am also puzzled with your point 1 as well. I believe you can find it if you use the file explorer, but I did not try since I don't have a problem with storage space for now.
