Plug in screen not hard. It is as easy as changing your home's bulb.

Unless you tell me it is as hard as installing canbus display. šŸ˜‚

where does the BNC connector for the screen plugs in to?

there's definitely nothing under the card reader for me to plug in though. not in a mood to do car gymnastics again.

use simplygo app, tap card behind to top up and check value on the spot.

done.

plus the <$5 value will long beep alert is still there. so no big deal.

got parking coupon? just reach over and pull card like what u do on ur normal car. if cannot keep eyes on the road whilst using feeling to pull card out, better not drive at all.
Can the new unit be used with Nets Flashpay with auto reload function?

rather than the screen, i'm more concerned about exiting car parks smoothly. often see cars with the erp2.0 (can see the big screen from behind) getting stuck at exits and end up having to tap cashcard ... i thought supposed to be seamless transition?

Saw on some chat groups got people install screen on the top of windscreen, just behind and beside the rearview mirror.
This is what I did. As my wife drives and she is quite short, the screen will create a huge blind spot which is not safe for her to drive.

A few observations to share. It is useful to install the screen because
  • you can conveniently turn the cashcard off with a single touch
  • this will allow you to install the card unit at the front passenger footwell so it will not obstruct driver
  • the touchscreen is actually quite useful as it provides much information like number of parking lots available and also location of police speed cameras (many that I was previously unaware of)
  • the beep is very irritating and you can turn it down or off on the screen
  • it shows time so can be useful
There is a bracket that you need to buy to install it on the windscreen and some workshops sell it for $68 while others charge $98. Personally I feel that it is worth it because the screen is out of my face.

It is connected to the processing unit wiring.

https://www.vicom.com.sg/OBU

One of the photos in the link show the connection. Really is plug and play.

sagu reminds since February 2025, LTA has switched ON the speeding function in every traffic cameras located at traffic lights crossing, previously, they only caught vehicles beating the red light and now they catch both, this new OBU will alert you to the speed limits on the roads šŸ˜‰

#saguwisdom :vijayadmin:
the 10% allowance still remains.

tried and tested

Maybe can ask the technician to expose that wire? Save you long term pain. Haha
actually all i need is just connect the screen's BNC to the processing unit to disable the sound. then disconnect it. no need to expose the BNC connector from the processing unit since its a one-off job. :o

yah, my SE gave me back the screen. its sitting under my table at home.
