Usually there's a capped due to item value is high.
And 5% + 5% does not calculate as 10%.

$1899 - 10% = $1709.10 But

$1899 - 5% = $1804.05 and $1804.05 -5% =$1713.85

Discount or not, still so expensive plus the camera is not even that much better than 6.1 iphone 12 pro and battery life is a downgrade from iphone 11 pro max...

Shopee has this "million $ discount" promo going on now and this shop selling iPhone 12 Pro Max (256GB) at $1899 ($70 off retail).

https://shopee.sg/product/52377417/3657603099

If you have UOB one card, you get 5% (usual cash off) + 5% (new promo added for Shopee).

So total after discount is S$1709

This is certainly better than the fake 5% off from shopback.sg few days ago.

Hi I don’t see the discount can cash back because no label for cash back

Not sure if it works that way.

But this is not a Shopee cashback, this is a UOB cashback.

So UOB will take the final amount paid and apply the 5+5% to that, which is $1899.

But even if calculated your way, it is still significant discount.

You're right there is a cap. For the additional Shopee cashback, you can only get max $100 cashback per month for $2000 spent. If you spend $20K, cashback also $100.

Because this is not a Shopee discount/cashback. It's a UOB One credit card cashback.

UOB One card usual cashback is 5% (if you spend $2000/month for 3 months consecutively).

Now they added Shopee as partner and give out another 5% on top of the usual UOB cashback. It's crazy.

UOB 5% cash back don’t think there’s a cap.
Up to 10% if you hit 2K for the past 3 months

Yes. UOB 5% cash back don’t think there’s a cap.

Sorry forgot to add.

There is a cap on UOB cash back.

Default UOB maximum cashback is $300 if you spend $2000/month for 3 months.

For the additional Shopee promo, maximum rebate is $100 per month (e.g. Spend $2000 on Shopee will get $100. Spend $20K also $100).

Need to Hit UOB Quarterly before you can get additonal 5%.

1Cardmembers who have been awarded the quarterly cash rebate will get an additional 5% rebate on the total Dairy Farm Singapore such as Cold Storage, Giant, Guardian, 7-Eleven, Marketplace, Jasons, Jasons Deli, Grab (excludes mobile wallet top-ups), Shopee Singapore transactions (excludes ShopeePay) and UOB Travel (excludes online and flight only bookings) transactions successfully charged and posted to the Card Account in each statement month. Cardmembers who have been awarded the quarterly cash rebate will get an additional 1% rebate on the Singapore Power utilities bill (excluding payments via AXS) successfully charged and posted to the Card Account in each statement month. Additional rebates will be capped at S$100 per month.

And million dollar sales exclude Shopee vouchers.

I think I will stick to my philosophy of always getting the largest iphone they offer.

WpDBo0k.jpg

No issues with single hand operations.

And still smaller than other android phones.

But for now the 12 Pro Max is the largest iPhone Apple has and is good enough for screen estate.

Coming from 11 Pro Max, the extra 0.2" feels 'fresh'.
