i was also slightly disappointed at the slight reduction in battery capacity for iP12 compare to iP11. can only hope for iOS to optimise the phone and lengthen the usage with 1 full charge.

The numbers quoted in the spec sheet are the same as 11PM. But I would wait for GSMarena to post their findings before deciding if I want to get the new iPhone or not.

Kuo: iPhone 12 Pro Demand Higher Than Expected
The *iPhone 12 Pro* pre-order beat our expectation because of Apple core fans’ initial preference for high-end models, the strong demand in the Chinese market, and the coming peak season demand in the US and Europe.
Due to the demand, Kuo sees the *iPhone 12* and 12 Pro Max to both have approximately 30-35% share each of new *iPhone* shipments in this quarter. Meanwhile, Kuo also downgraded his expectations for the *iPhone 12* Mini with estimates that it will be responsible for only 10-15% of sales (down from 20-25%). Kuo cites weak demand for the smaller device in the Chinese market.

the lower price mini is not going to sell well~?

interestingly, it is lighter (not by much) than SE 2020.

148g vs 133g~

good on Apple to go Super Retina XDR display for all the 4 models this year.

Let's face it. People went for the standard iPhone 11 last year because the iPhone 11 Pro had a tiny 5.8" screen. Now Apple fixed that and people are willing to consider the 6.1" 12 Pro. It's no secret that 6.1" is a highly popular screen size and people want the very best out of that particular size. Apple users wouldn't think too much about money but instead on user experience.

Not selling well = not as many millions of units sold lol. We're still talking astronomical numbers.

The iPhone is still a status symbol, no matter what. The Chinese aren't going to spend all that money on an iPhone and cheap out on the most basic model. Regular/Pro/Max for these fellas.

The Mini will sell to those simply tired of giant phones, or those with smaller hands. That's about its only demographic.

Do you guys think the Pro versions are overkill for an above-than-average consumer?

Maybe some of the upcoming Android phones should copy the LIDAR scanner. Some of the recent Samsung phones would have benefitted a lot from that instead of TOF or Laser AF. *********

iPhone 12 Models in Dual SIM Mode May Not Run at 5G Speeds, At Least Initially
The document suggests that only by disabling one SIM or the other will 5G speeds be available
