Spark plug can last beyond 100000km

Mine are iridium spark plugs.

I DIY changed them around 80k km.

Upon inspection, the tips were quite worn out although they were still working.

My recommendation is that 80k km is the max in Singapore city driving conditions for iridium.

Is this pricing OK? Intro my frd go this workshop...get the $158 package service. End up they recommend change so many things , bill become $800...after discussion with me, just change battery and spark plug...now $500...

60k is not major servicing, why need to change so many things? Previous servicing never do anything ah? This is like a conti car servicing price.

If there is nothing wrong with the car, why change? Basic engine oil change is good enough.

When to change battery? If your car struggle to start in the morning, it is a sign to change battery.

Transmission oil change based on oem recommendations e.g. every 40km.

All kinds of fluid. I never change b4 after driving 15 yrs.

Brake pad. Change only if left a bit. Some workshop may con u to change much earlier.

Shock absorbers. Change if your ride comfort is compromised. Go for oem.

Don't be trick into engine overhual, flushing or any form of cleaning.

don't forget , some cars got two batteries. main and auxiliary . both needs checking periodically.
any decent workshop would check both

depends on car and fuel used.

like you said, best is to take out to see ... but layman don't know all these one.
spark plugs - can see the usage, the gaps, the tips, etc.
then you know if your engine is actually running fine or if a replacement spark plug suits your engine combustion type.

jazz already cheap to maintain certain things no need to do dont do.....but up to u lol

vw bmw mercedes at least 3k to 5k out of pocket depending on what is serviced

Battery is inside car 4 years is plausible. If battery is in engine bay should've died in year 2 or 3 already

His car Battery in boot backside, if engine bay must change every 2 yrs cos engine bay is hot, no good for battery

Off top of my head Mercedes for dual 12V battery setup. Hybrid although got 2 batteries, one is low voltage 12V, the other is high voltage

Change those essentials which can make your Jazz usable for awhile, then go JB workshop to change the rest with 3.6 exchange rate?

So when you buy a car , these are the things you should know.

service package is by distance / Time. 7 years old confirm no more.
