the sn770 if i am not wrong does not have dram..
if for main drive i would spend a bit more..
but if for game drive or 2nd drive then i think u dont need to pay so high...

Does it show "Out of region" when you register it online?
If yes, the online RMA form may not let you proceed and you have to contact WD support to process it.

Once you have the RMA number, give the RMA contact number a call to ask if they have the stock available for on-the-spot replacement.

If you need to RMA, you can contact WD Singapore cust svc for an exception to allow local RMA. I've done this a couple of times for HDDs and WD has always been very accommodating. YMMV

if u want to go for sn850 i would rather u go for sn850x for 1 tb
but if u looking for 2 tb then only can see how much are u willing to pay

for main drive its better to go for something with d ram.
for 2nd or game drive for me i think cheap cheap is ok already
anyways now games almost all 100% online already so there is no local save files.. so if it dies its still ok

No need heatsink since most SSD will throttle if it is too hot.

Not all M.2. slots on all mobos come with heatsink

Gen4 drives can get hot so heatsink can help it run at higher speeds for longer

If your M.2 slot got heatsink then just buy the non-heatsink version otherwise get the heatsink version (though SN850X heatsink feels like a ripoff)

higher transfer speed, more heat generated, lifespan also reduced.
most mobo come with the heatsink.....else u can just buy jeyi heatsink for few dollars.

90% of the mb out there the main mvme drive will have a heat sink but the 2nd slot will not have only very few..

yes stata is slower but still can game well...

Yes, SN770 is dram-less, but uses hmb instead. That is one of the reasons why it is cheaper.

I still think the SN770 good purchase if it is within your budget.

It is perfectly fine option for anything as long as not for write heavy operations.

Otherwise top up a bit more for 2TB SN850X also nubbad hor.
