Question on internet sharing

I just got my iMac recently and i'm using Singtel BBoM.

1. how to automatically connect to internet via my samsung 3g modem when login or after login?
2. how to automatically share the internet via airport after successfully connected?

thanks for the reply! i still cant boot from ext hard disk, i pressed option key right after powering on, the flashing question mark still came out and it just stuck there.

by the way.. my dvd drive is spoilt, so can i use a ext cd reader to book the mac start up disc?

and if there's really no choice, where can i go repair it? is SGL a good choice?

A flashing question mark means your mac can't find the necessary system files to load and boot up.

The jialat part is your dvd drive is not working…. Oei, you should know a CD reader can't read DVD right?

Repairing ain't cheap. You'd be better off buying an ext usb dvd burner... Leopard support everyone of them so just buy one you can afford.

Your hd cannot boot but your data could be still intact. Move it out to an ext usb harddisk casing to mount & access your data.

yeah i know CD reader cant read DVD .. i wasnt thinking while typing

anyway i think i can borrow a ext usb dvd burner/reader, so just connect using USB and hold on to "C" then press the power on button right?

by the way mine is a Tiger not Leopard

I guess my hdd is spoilt

I've boot up the startup disc from the external drive, tried to repair the disk but the computer couldnt locate it.
After that, i resetted the PRAM but in the end still couldnt locate my hdd. So that pretty sums up isnt it?

any HDD to recommend?

1) mac os update 10.5.5
2) front row update
3) digital camera raw compatible
4) Remote desktop client update
5) Itunes 8.0.1

i've narrowed the update to the mac os update and itunes and it still hangs at "configuring installation"... hangs means.. the blue bar is still not moving..but the animation (flowing thing within the bar) is still on.. but it takes veri veri veri veri long.. still doesn't move...

It's just a harddisk; do a search for instant gratification - there're penty of recommendation already.

Huay you ask me about sgl ah? I not them wor. Over the years I only patronise them once.

Transfering Files

Hi,
I got this problem when i transfer a folder from I Pro to external H.D.
It will display that H.D cannot be modified.

Any solution to this problem.
