Get the rMBP

The Air is "outdated"(no retina display etc) and the Pro is much more powerful for the future
The retina display is really worth the extra $$$

That said, the Air will be able to stream videos and browse the web smoothly(use Safari, Chrome isn't really optimised for efficiency)

Also, Apple is said to refresh them early next year in March so if you can wait :s12:

I am fine with non retina display as i think generally apple screens are ok I guess?

Some of my friends are against me getting a macbook pro as it is more expensive, heavier and overpowered for casual use..and regretted getting a macbook pro..
I wonder is the user experience similar between these two macbooks. Pity that the macbook air has no retina display..it would make my decision easier :D

Right now my desktop is faulty so I do not have a computer....:p most likely will get during next month's IT show...

I like to hear more advice before making the purchase.. :)
Thank you! :D

just got a macbook air..what are good charging habits to prolong battery longevity?

Battery cycles, just leave it charging as long as it is. Even if it has charged fully, just leave the battery on charging.

Hi all, need some advice here.

I am still currently using the late 2008 unibody macbook 2.0Ghz (core2duo) model. I upgraded to SSD and up ram to 4gb in late 2013 and till today it is still running generally well. However for some application, i can sense that it is running extra harder with high temperate and fan speed. In a nutshell, it struggling a little with graphical intensive apps.

Hence i am currently looking for a replacement. I already have an awesome samsung 27" monitor that i connect my PS4 to so i am thinking of getting the mac mini as a desktop to shared with the samsung monitor.
Is it worth it to get the mini?

Or should i just get an iMac 27? i would like to decluttered my room a little with lesser screens.

What i do using my computer are typical like surfing the net, watch youtube/other video sites, occasional photo editing using PS, occasional garage band when I'm jamming on my guitar and also streaming football matches. Will the mid range mac mini be ok for the job? I will change the HDD to and SDD and ram will be 8gb i think.

Maybe you should consider selling the old one away?
