Ah Heng what they want is your connection diagram to set up the NAS and your router. Not your NAS and router pictures bah 🙏🙏

ONT box connect to router.

Wa TS you still struggling with your NAS

1. Do a soft reset with the NAS powered on - use a pin on the RESET area at the back of the device till it beeps. This will reset your network settings / admin password
2. Connect NAS to router w/ cable - it should now get IP address from the router via DHCP
3. Find and connect to your NAS via browser - set a new admin password
4. Connect to your router via its web interface - and allocate a static IP for your NAS on the LAN
5. On the NAS web interface network settings, set this new static IP / network details
6. Reboot NAS
7. Check NAS IP address via NAS web interface and the router web interface
8. Cage off the area around the router and NAS - so your Mom doesn't power either of them off again
shoudl i get another 2 brand new lan cable

Really speechless to see this.
TS complain cannot detect.
TS can you answer me the following:

1) Which is the router? The white one or the black?
2) Your NAS is connected to the white one?

Seriously I out of here, until TS understand where he is connecting. :s13:
ts last time refuse to connect nas to network, own self go see guides to self configure direct lan connection to pc. then hit with an issue don't know how to resolve... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

edit: heck, i don't even think there is an issue in the first place since he was still able to enter the web management page with his old connection setup.. which means can access his nas files on his pc.

Ah Heng make sure your Fibre is up.

Highlighted in red, try to connect the lan cable from either port to your NAS and see if it works

TS is going around in circles. Half the instructions he probably dun understand, simply because the lingo and specific nas/networking phrases.

1. I suggest someone who kind and got time, drop by and fix.
TS, be prepared to give angpow for materials and equipment, and possibly 2 trips (in case new equipment need to be purchased). Or maybe even standard professional rates instead of angpow.

2. If TS not willing to host and pay, then perhaps sign up for skills future networking course. Free and paid for by pap.
