I was told by an MR staff unequivocally that if the no-show is not resolved within 2 weeks, you can cancel your MR order. I might just do that. Its not worth my time and leave days to wait for some party that will never show up.

Wow, nice at least I can do something about it.

Hi guys,

As we know that there's an insane lack of resources and competency from OpenNet side.

We may propose to customer to do a Fiber Take Over from their existing provider instead of a 2nd fiber. By doing so, we can avoid the OpenNet lack of resources issue as the existing line used by your provider means there's enough resources to provide your unit and it's functioning and tested by OpenNet during your installation.

However, in doing so there will be no internet connection to the unit for the few hours pre installation.

In order for FTO to be successful. All outstanding balance MUST be cleared and it would be best if the contract has expired.

Hi Bro,

I do meet those points highlighted in your suggestion but why do I still encounter last minute cancellation for my work order?

Because we were trying to do a 2nd fiber not a FTO and AMK area is the most congested area in terms of fiber usage.

MR.... Your installer came early I totally appreciate it.

However, after changing the ont, optical signals are all up and synced, but I am unable to connect to the Internet, on DHCP mode. Even direct to ONT also cannot. Until now, still not up, and it's been 2 hours.

This I also accept since it's beta and glitches are there to be discovered.

But the biggest disappointment I have, is that static IP cannot be used for now??? Ok, at least according to the installer, static IP still cannot be used until further notice... I personally have not tried it since I am unable to connect in the first place.

Best part is, I am hosting at home, and no one said anything about static IP is not usable and I am responsible for this down time, which was never ever mentioned...

Now I am stuck. Change back to old 100 PURE... Got problem... Stay on 1Gbps also got problem...

Please do something about it dudes... I need the connection up before my web and mail users start asking me to butter my arse.

I need the connection up by tonight! Or I will really need to start to butter my arse liao

Looks like its not going to happen by today..
I am also using static IP and installation is tomorrow and while no one is going to buffer my ass, I have to turn to 3rd party app to remote back home for work.

Actually we don't know what to believe anymore, your customer on facebook have a very different view, do take note and do some serious service recovery:

One thing can be certain. OpenNet front desk has no idea how screwed up their backend system is.

Infact, if a customer were to sign up for an AMK area for 2nd Fiber. They would "promise" you installation within 2 weeks, in fact an exact date and time before calling you a week later and informed you there's insufficient resources in that area and would be delayed till they are fixed (Which normally taking 1-4weeks or more depending on the resources needed). And if you were to call open net and ask why? They would tell you there's no such issue.

Infact, i called a CSO earlier on and ask about a enterprise customer status. She had no idea and said no such record. I had to dial a DID to the person in charge of my order to tell me it's completed.

Guys,

Just to let everyone know that I have been played out by Opennet & MyRepublic with regards to the 1gbps installation.

My installation date was scheduled for tomorrow (28Mar14). Apart from the original call a few weeks back arranging the appointment, I did not receive any email/call from MR confirming the appointment thereafter.

I had to proactively reach out to them by calling their hotline (nobody picked up), trying their online chatroom (no operator online), sending email to their MR support (given ticket number but never received any response). Only after dropping an email to Nivek1985 did he finally reply yesterday evening (26Mar14) confirming the appointment.

Thinking that the appointment was confirmed, I applied for leave to be around for the installation. Around 9plus this evening, I received an SMS informing that the Fibre takeover had been rescheduled to 31Mar14. It was like the family members receiving an SMS informing them that the Malaysian PM had declared MH370 crashed into the Indian Ocean. Really impersonal. Come on MR, where's the customer service?

Someone finally called me later but still couldn't even confirm the 31Mar14 installation date. Really frustrating and not sure how to proceed.

MR, you really need to get your act in order. To all those considering signing with MR or switching to the 1Gbps plan, I strongly suggest you think twice and hold off on your decision. This MR and Opennet issue is not going to be resolved anytime soon. The worst part is that, us, as end users, suffer the most.

So I got a call last week to postpone the installation from both Opennet and MR, and I still haven't gotten any updates. Been on hold for 25 mins on the hotline as well.

What's going on? Completely in the dark here.

Edit: Finally got through to someone on the hotline, was told Opennet capacity issue, wait time 2 weeks to a month.

Good times!
