Can anyone help me to understand the Issue please !!

My TP was Installed on March 20th ( I never used fibre broadband at home) and data connection was tested OK by opennet. On March 24th, MR technician came for Installation and found no signal to MR site and said Opennet has to fix the problem. Is this related to cable top-up ?? I read somewhere that cable top-up Issue is applicable only to customers switching from one RSP to another and not for new TP Installation.

Yup. They are unable to install as the fibre has not been changed to the new one.

No Opennet guys came to do anything on my fibre-box yet which is worrying.. I might end up in the same predicament as you, worst.. My ONT was taken yesterday and installation is today. lol

:s13:

EDIT: Just spoke to my installation guy on the phone he said OPENNET guys should be over to do something... otherwise more or less it's gonna be a failed installation.. Sigh, all the time consuming hassle and troubles to come to this....... predicted outcome.

nivleK1985 bro.. can you take a look at my case. FTO failed despite you saying that it has only a 2% chance to fail.

Let me know what is the outcome.. if you need to reschedule, let me have a date.
Don't leave open end problems like that.

Usually how long do u need to wait for the fibre to reestablish the signal if u off the modem and disconnected the fibre cable and reconnect and turn everything back on??

MR tech came and went after a successful connection but I needed to disconnect and move to the place where I place my modem box.

Now the MR modem is displaying a red light warning.

Also, is there any diff die die must use MR fibre cable or previous fibre cable provided by another provided also can?

My current contract ends in Dec 2014, and I'm currently paying $59.99 per month.

Under what circumstances can I avoid the one time charge, get the people to install the new hardware, get my final 3 months free and switch to the 1gbps new contract with a smooth transition?

Am I able to request installation date a few days~ before/after my contract ends, and be charged with the 1gbps pricing then?

I can live with the old system, but I don't want to get charged another $59.99 after my contract ends. Can any MR personnel please advise? Am I able to "upgrade" right now and request my installation date to be set in Q4 december without being charged for the one time fee?

Edit: Reading the recent posts doesn't make me feel very confident in MR upgrading stuff (people complaining on installation issues...).
