This guy is not the official spokesman for the Malaysian govt. He is just the agent for mm2h applications. There is no rule that you have to stay outside msia for longer than you have spent in msia on social visit pass. Yes you may get questioned but I have never heard ppl getting banned from entry for travelling too frequently. This guy is just csbing

Trying to get Sinkies to move funds to Boleh Land.

@yobyella

Do you know the fastest way in the past to in and out of JB and have your passport stamped or scanned using MACS?

Normally MACS Q not long leh. :)
This was a long time ago when Barisan National was the ruling government. The fastest way was once passed through the manual immigration counter or MACS gate at the departure hall then walked to the bus bay. Don't take the bus to SG just walked over to the bus bay at the Arrival Hall then go up to the manual counter or MACS gate. You could do that less than 5 minutes. The Immigration Officer at manual counter or at MACS gate never asked how come could leave, return and reach JB in 3 minutes. Anyway, that is history already :ROFLMAO:

I know someone who got barred. His sg flat rented out and rent jb condo. All was fine till about 6 months later.

He comes back to sg every 2 weeks for a day or two then back to jb. Heng he still has his own room at parents place to stay.

They barred him from entering for 1 year. His jb condo rental still pay. Not much 1200rm only. He got his brother to help clear his barang from the condo when the lease ended.

He wfh and this was sometime in early 2023.

Ok 2023 you can't do that. 2018 to 2020 you could still go to work from JB to SG everyday.

This wouldn't happen with MACs coz juz need to scan, no one checks, but this is gone. So when its manual stamping, it really depends on the officers mood.

Assuming they forgotten to code in the criteria to catch people doing visa runs.

So you see, only people with valid visas can apply for macs today, owning or renting a property is not one of them. My guess is they will only let u in and out of Msia with no proper visa for 6months. They want to push mm2h, that is obvious. Not sure if u fly in n out tho.

From 2005 when first shifted to JB fully to 2019 (when MACS services was terminated) either at manual counter and EGate no problems going in and out of JB on daily basis. Then 2019 to 2020 no problem going in and out of JB on daily basis too. Then when borders open between JB and SG no problems either to go in and out of JB on daily basis from April 2022 until the opposition party becomes the ruling government end of 2022.

Oh. You mean you did a U-turn. MACS should be fine. If manual counter likelihood the officer will quiz you.

Wow!! Really ah? Don't even need to spend extra time and bus fare to turn around at SG!! I think now very strict already
In the past the MM2H home was actually sort like controlled by a private enterprises during Barisan National ruling if I'm not mistaken. Then in 2019 to 2020 when Dr Mahathir was the PM for a short period MACS was cancelled however MM2H program was still very active (not sure whether was still under a private enterprise) until Covid 19 Pandemic and border closed between SG and JB. Then when borders open again in April 2022 and the PM was ISMAIL SABRI YAAKOB it was still ok. Then when change government to opposition ruling and PM is Anwar Ibrahim all changes. The MM2H was oversee by Malaysia Tourist Ministry and Malaysia Immigration. Can you see now clearly what they are doing?

Yes that is a risk to consider when trying to live long term with the normal 30 day visa. I guess it really depends on whether you are abusing it to the point until it raises a red flag on you. Ie they are concerned you may be illegally working in msia or doing illegal stuff in msia.

It is their right to deny or ban you from entering even though we have visa free agreement as we are considered foreigners after all. So if you want to live long term with the 30 day visa then you need to know your place and do not overstay your welcome. I think if live for a few months at a time they won't have much problems la but really depends on the immigration officer at the point of entry. So far I haven't heard of many cases that outright bans sinkies for travelling too often. But still better to get a proper visa for long term stay
