Thailand Digital nomad visa

US$270 every 180 days, up to 5 years
Total USD2700 / SGD3655

To apply for the visa, you must:

  • Be at least 20;
  • Have enough money to pay for the visa;
  • Prove you have at least £10,687 in your bank account;
  • Provide proof of employment with a registered company

The employment letter is super easy to settle, just get a company to write.
The problem is actually the tax, that could be tricky.

https://www.timeout.com/news/thaila...-digital-nomad-visa-heres-how-to-apply-061024

OR

Elite visa 5 years
900000 baht / SGD33k SGD

MM2H even with the unannounced special economic zone MM2H.
Standby at least RM800000 / SGD230k

The saving grace is it is 10 years, can bring your spouse and you whole village
You will have a Malaysia house.

But take note of this clause
  • The pass can be renewed for a period of 5 years after the maximum program membership period expires.

After ten years, you have no idea whether you can renew, or how many times you can renew.

In any case, for people who went to JB for a few days then say, " wah so cheap, i wanna migrate out of SG".
The reality is it's not so easy.

I believe after the new MM2H officially launch, they will start to tackle those who do visa runs and force them to apply MM2H.

Actually i may have miscalculated.

Even for the special zone MM2H, the property price although it says is min RM600k.
It must also follow the state rule.

I believe JB minimum selling price to foreigner is 1 Million ringgit?

So the visa cost should be

1 Million ringgit + FD USD 30k to 60k + RM40k agency fee + levy + tax
Which is 1.2 million to 1.3 million Ringgit
That's about SGD 350k to 400k.

Who so stupid to pay so much for a 10 years visa. :s13:

PETALING JAYA: Some agents for the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) programme have been charging several thousands in application fees, says tourism, culture and arts minister Tiong King Sing.

Suddenly exorbitant fees of several thousands become tens of thousands? What weed have you been smoking to believe that is true :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

You use an April 2024 article to override the official memo released on June 15?

Ok can. :s13:

Your official memo is targeted to agencies wanting to signup as licensed providers, not for applicants. There's no mention anywhere in that document if the amount is a cap, or payment to the Malaysian govt as a license fee. I pasted the article in April showing that a few thousands is considered exorbitant by their own minister. It would be foolish to think that he would advocate for 40k to be the fee charged by agencies as it would make him look stupid. The same goes to people who believe so -- lack of common sense :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
