Hello all Heya existing customers, I just applied for port-in, got the sim card, but I cannot register to the network, therefore "no service". Looks like the sim card is not activated yet.

Is this normal? I remember reading that I am supposed to at least get a temp number and connection to the network while waiting for port-in to be completed? At least this was my experience with other port-ins.

Thanks for advice.
IMHO.
By right suppose to be able to use the SIM card. Maybe check the settings like APN.

Eh...i qualify my port-in was like 1 year ago. :ROFLMAO:

Thanks for those who answered my port in question. My port in is successful, everything ok now. phew.

So another question is the free second month for those who port in before Sep 30th, how long before the $10 credit will appear in the heya wallet? Asking those who port in early and gotten their second month free. :)

Unfortunately you are misinformed. Wake up now and face the reality.
1. There won't be any free second month. You will have to wait long long
2. Heya wallet is for you to top up yourself. Again you will have to wait long long for heya to top up your heya wallet

The current promo is this

So when did you receive the $10 wallet credit? During the first month you are with Heya or during the second month. I emailed CSO and they said watch out for it during the second month cycle which does not make sense to me.
You will get it within 1 - 3 days after your Heya line has been successfully ported in. It will show up with *119# as "heya Account balance" or on the Heya mobile app in the top right corner. For example:

Main: $0.00 Exp:23-09-23.
heya Account balance: $10.00, Exp:23-09-23.
heya Plan: 157.444GB Local Data, Exp:24-08-23.
301 Local min, Exp:24-08-23.
51 Local SMS, Exp:24-08-23.
1024MB Roaming Data, Exp:23-08-23.

Once you have it, on the exact last day of your current plan's expiry (24 August 2023 in the example above), you can use your $10 heya Account balance to buy a $10 plan by dialing *119# and choosing option 2, or via the Heya mobile app. This effectively makes your second month free.

The general rule with Heya is that only the base plan of 50GB and 300 minutes / 50 SMS is instant. All other bonus features will take 1 - 3 days to appear.

OIC, thanks for the detailed info! :) Managed to get the $10 credit after kpkb to the CSO a few hours ago.

Found this on FB, posting for everyone's benefit.

Heya is not for everyone. It is only for those who do not mind putting in extra effort to monitor the expiry date for your data plan.

If you can do that, it is $10 for 100GB for 30 days (50GB immediately plus 50GB extra one to three days later) on Singtel which is the best deal. You also get free incoming calls, free incoming SMS, free caller ID, and VOLTE. There are other promotions from time to time, but these features above have been there on Heya since day one.

Note that the retailer should not be overcharging you; new line + port in should cost $10 and not a cent more. The retailer needs to complete a two-step process: Register + Port in (Keep Existing Number), and once that is done, take note of the temporary number and top-up $10 to the temporary number (not your port-in number). This should all be done in a single visit and should take no more than 15 minutes.

You should only buy your plan on the very last day of the expiry if your current plan, as the 30 days expiry starts on the date you purchase the plan. It does not extend the expiry of your current plan. For example, if your current plan expires on 15 August 2023, you should buy your next plan anytime on 15 August 2023; if you purchase it later, you lose the rollover data; if you purchase it earlier, the 30 days starts from the date of your purchase, and not 15 August 2023.

Only sign-ups need to be done physically at a retailer; top-ups can be done online via Lazada or Shopee. The links are all found on the official Heya website.

Please read through the official FAQ on the https://heya.sg website before signing up.

Yah I was gonna ask about plan renewal. WOW so dumb. HEYA software backend cannot just add on the extension on the day when customer buy the plan, but MUST wait till the last day playing timing game with HEYA like buying concert tickets. And this service is by SINGTEL?! It feels more like from those 3rd party MVNO. Think mod should pin your comment on top or something.

I think also have to add, its better to buy wallet credits rather than plan renewal, because you never know if there is a service delay when you buy from Shopee/Lazada etc, cannot do it it in time. die liao. bye bye data rollover.
