Interesting that 4XX is 13 Mar, as my is 3XX and my appt is 1 Mar (just found out when I read this thread, so jump over to HDB website to find out).

Anything pass 6xx or max q, for the 4 rooms is as good as a lost case, that is probably why they schedule it so far off. Esp if TPY is a hot BTO and if u are a super high number, u likely not to show up...imho.

It all depends on luck. If suay, maybe no chance. If heng den who knows, skali 800 pple in front of u drop out den confirm got chance.

I'm just saying though. Anything can happen.

Does anyone know how many queue numbers were called up yesterday? So that we could track the no. of ppl who give up and possibly stand a chance towards the end of selection... Any idea?

A lot of the time is budget constraints, which is a big first consideration. Then, sometimes age considerations esp if they have older folks in the family, or some are already aged and want a place to retire in. Younger folks, esp with no kids usually would like the higher levels to enjoy the view, breeze and the feeling on top of the world......u are definitely spot on, to each his/her own.....

Yes, I remember well...the old flats, lifts breaks down every so often and had to climb 26 storeys to get home....going down wasnt as bad, going up was sheer torture. Si peh chiak lat !
