actually i agree with you. everything is about getting used to. however, i do think getting a flat within your financial means is more impt than space. no money is a bigger headache than no space!
reminds me of friends who can easily quit their job for one reason or another because the cpf contribution from their job previously was more than the monthly payment for the flat

haha. I'm saying that in case LoneReaction feels travelling is a hassle.
Well, getting a seat throughout does reduce the burden a bit. :s13:

Base on your experience of the North South line, which stops are the first to get massive traffic? Wouldn't the folks before Woodlands that are going to town hog most of the trains?

Hello guys. Does this current May Bidadari does not include service yard for 4 rooms? If no, does anyone know how do we dry our clothes? Like the old flats where we hang them out? Or? Please advise. Ty

Woodlands, Yishun, AMK, Bishan are the stops where significantly bigger crowds come in. Everything else in between is fine. If you try taking a train through the whole NS line, you may notice that people getting off every few stations does balance out the crowds coming in. (except for peak period!)

Also, the Downtown Line has eased the size of the crowd coming in before Woodlands, I feel.

Well, it's always the peak office hours that is significant. Same goes for other lines like the NE line.

So it's a matter of luck if you get a seat at Woodlands during peak office hours? I suppose Bishan will be the next big 'get off' 'get on' stop.

Isn't this a good thing?:s11:
yes yes it is a good thing that they didnt have to worry about $$ when they needed/wanted to quit their job.
good to have that kind of financial freedom without having to worry about job security all the time. just that they need to get used to their home location lo.

true also, that's the perks of staying in non-mature estate. I personally live in sembawang but if you ask me i don't quite like that area as i confirm have to stand on the train for at least 30mins when i go to town, and 30 mins back to sembawang. But it's all personal preference, nevertheless we all want a roof over our head!

I've been a Woodlander all my life and it really isn't that bad getting around.

Woodlands to Orchard is around 30mins by mrt. Furthermore you're likely to get a seat for the journey.
If you need to get to Tampines/Bedok/Changi Airport, there are bus service 969,168 and 858 to get you there. Trips would be 40mins on average and again, you're most likely to get a seat.

Jurong East is a 20min mrt ride away.

Over time, you will get used to the travelling time and find it not that bad. :)

Instead of bothering with the hassle of public transport why not just buy a car?!

Likewise from Yishun. Those who get on at AMK, Bishan really have very little space.
